Chapter 2: Day with Sera

Seraphina's POV:

John's such a great guy. He's so generous and kind and he helped me escape from my mum's boring lifestyle. Perfect this, perfect that! I want to be free and live my own way and John helped me do that. I'll never forget everything that boy has done for me.

I got up out of bed cleaned my teeth and had a warm-ish shower. I did my hair and got ready for school. John's not in my classes this morning so I guess I'll sit on the roof and wait until lunch.

"Man I know John needs to study but we should hang out on the roof some day" she wished in her head, mainly because she wanted to show him how good she had gotten at pig games. It's not like John couldn't come with me anyway. Nobody would care. She didnt mean this rudley it's just that John pushes everyone away except her.

He cares about his education though, sera sighed it off but still wished he could be here. Seraphina's eyes began to drift as she fell asleep. "SERAPHINA!" A loud voice called. She woke up to her mother yelling at her.

She was in her house so this had to be a dream but sera didn't know that yet. "I told you mother call me Sera". She preferred the nickname John gave her because it was the first step to her becoming an ordinary girl. "I will not call you by that insolent name Seraphina! That boy is having too much influence on you and I shall not allow it to go on anymore"

Sera wanted to say whatever and shrug but decided that wasn't the best move to make, pissing off her mother would result in an extraordinary punishment.

"You shall not see that boy anymore Seraphina, you are moving to an all girls school that is far more developed and educating than that shithole!" Her mother screeched. Tears ran down seraphina's face, pain embodied in every drop. She wanted to run away and disappear from her mother.

She woke up again at the roof and placed her hands on her face so she could peacefully continue her sobbing. The bell for lunch went however so she quickly cleared up her face and and sat patiently for John.

"Hey sera" he smiled and sat down with a bag of McDonalds. "When the fuck did you go to McDonald's?" Sera asked shocked. "During my break" he simply responds. She wasn't gonna argue with him cause free McDonald's. John hands her a box of nuggets, fries and a milkshake, meanwhile he pulls out a quarter pounder meal with fries and the same drink. Banana milkshake ofcourse.

They quietly eat not arguing for once. He takes their rubbish and makes an incredible shot in the bin a few stories down from them. "No wayyyyyyyyyyy" she shouted like a little kid, amazed by John's throw. "Heheh thanks Sera" John replies kinda embarrassed at how amazed she was.

To him it was an easy shot as he was one of the best at sports in his entire school. Sera however, never cared for sports so she couldn't hit a tree from a few meters away. After Seraphina stopped shouting they headed to their last class of the day, science.

After seeing John's incredible sports skill, Sera wanted to impress him with her science ability. Once they arrived they partnered up and began doing the written assignment so they could move onto the practical one. Sera finished what was supposed to be half the lesson in 5 minutes and then immediately grabbed their gear and began mixing different solutions of liquid. Sera managed to create what the teacher wanted in about 20 minutes leaving them another 35 minutes to mess around. "Wow Sera we're all done already"

John said equally impressed as Sera was when he made the shot. "Wachu wanna do now Sera?" He asked lazily, after not having to switch his brain on thanks to Sera.

"Watch this" she whispered not wanting to disrupt anyone. Sera began mixing and shaking the solutions aggressively. After about 10 minutes of this she had managed to make a mixture that looked exactly like a pig surrounded by grass. "Um wow" John said disappointed yet amazed.

"Of all the things you could have created you made a pig?" She simply wasn't having this attitude however. "Yea so what?" She snapped jokingly yet assertively. "Well I'm just saying you could've done me" he winked obviously being sarcastic.

"That would look stupid" she giggled back at him while covering her mouth. "I think it would be great but whatever, anyway wanna come back to mine and play some pig games?" She nodded and grabbed her bags as they made their way back to John's apartment quietly. Sera decided to break the silence however with the only thing she had been thinking about all day.

"Hey John I don't think I told you but I wanted to just let you know that the throw you made was really impressive and cool" she was obviously embarrassed as her face was the same color as here hair. "Still on about that are we? Well on the topic of being impressive Sera, your science work today was actually amazing and I know I made fun of you but that pig was pretty cute" he said as he stopped and looked at her.

Sera was confused as to why he stopped so she just turned and faced him. Red and pink colors found their ways to John's face. "It was cute just like you" he added. She was flustered and caught of guard but she couldn't help but smile no matter how embarrased she was. They continued to John's apartment laughing and smiling.
