Jaden's Pov
-"You're one of the stupidest guys i've ever met. That's come from someone who is low-key stupid"
I look over at Micheal who has a set soft smile on his face, instantly making the girl around us stare at him. He had a natural charm when it came to girl, something I obviously lacked.
"It's not even funny. She just completely ghosted me. All of or biology projects have been done completely by one of us and that's on a matter who collects it first." I groan. Emilia has been ignoring me hardcore for the last three months. Which, one, annoys the absolute shit out of the. I have no clue who told the school we kissed and why does it even matter still or then. People kiss all the time, and for her, you could tell it wasn't her first and second, it makes me upset.
I thought we were growing a small but bearable friendship. If I was being honest with myself, being with her felt safe? Like you know you're safe but you never knew you didn't feel that feeling. She brings that, I miss it.
I miss the small scowl that forms on her face whenever she looks at me, the glint of hope in her eyes, the way she drowns into her own little world whenever she paints, or the little strands of baby hairs that stick up from her untamed hair. She was the kind of girl not many people looked at or noticed but she managed to stand out.
"You're such a simp" Micheal mutters. I slightly shake my head hitting his shoulder causing him to let out a soft laugh.
We round the corner into the packed hallway of kids from every different grade. You had your normal freshman with the seniors, the band kids, the nerds, the jocks and cheerleaders, the popular click, and then you had her.
She stood there laughing at something Lily has said. Her black hair completely falling all over the place but seemly put in subtle waves that lead all the down to her waist. She's dressed in her normal grey sweatpants and a off yellow tee-shirt, her paint infested backpack hangs from her right shoulder. In a room full of people my eyes mange to end on her.
"Such a fucking simp" Micheal mumbles before walking towards a girl name Rachel, his current fling or whatever they are. I drown him out, slowly leaning against the locker still admiring the girl I started to grow a friendship with.
Something my dad always use to tell me growing up was the most beautiful people are the ones aren't the ones with cakes makeup, 3' inch high heels and short dresses. They are the ones who have soul in them. They have a life outside of whatever they portray. I never understood what he meant till right in this moment.
She was fucking breathtaking.
Not because just because of her looks, it was the little things that make it her.
As she could sense my gaze, her eyes drift around the room before stopping on mine. Her lips tilt into the lightest smile, barley noticeable if you weren't looking hard enough. Her eyes flicker from annoyed, hurt, before settling on angry. She quickly grabs her attention back to the girl in front of her.
I do have to admit, they have gotten really close. They are barley separated at this point. I even think she's been over at her house, something I happen to stumble upon.
I let out a sigh before looking down towards my shoes. She was still angry at something I didn't even do. She was stubborn and she was hiding something from me. She doesn't have to tell nor probably would but she could at least not act like a child. I missed her.
shit.
"Hey Jaden!" a perky voice from behind me snaps me out of whatever daze I was in. I snap my head to reveal a short girl, bright red hair and bright blue eyes. Her face was clear and shined under the poor lighting of the schooling. No denying she was hot but she wasn't Emilia.
"Hey...."
"Jasmine" She smiles, extending her hand out for me to shake. I slowly accept. She smiled at me again before sliding her arm along my shoulder, that's when it hit me;
She was the Jasmine. Holy fuck.
"You busy tonight?" She ask, batting her eyelashes up at me. My eyes widen in shock when I realize what she means. Looking up from my spot, I meet the eyes of Micheal who is looking at me in shock, slowly nodding his head yes. My eyes divert to the paint stained backpack. Her eyes grow wide, a small tint of an emotion dance in her bright green eyes. This was it, I knew what I had to do.
I need an distraction.
"Actually, no." I say, meeting her gaze and her smiles turns into a smirk before looping my arms around before we go walking towards the doors on the other side of the hallway, the whole schools attention have gazed to us, everyone's expect hers.
Two can play this game and I was all for it.
a/n- I don't agree in either of my idiots kids games. Man up and own it but drama✨😌
