I walked into the school with my head held up high for no reason in particular. I was just happy today, for the first time in awhile I was okay. My mind wasn't somewhere else or nothing was weighing on me. Tomorrow was the start a two week winter break and I was going to spend it with my mom. The first time in years.

My eyes meet an upset Jasmine. Her cat died last night but I know she doesn't have a cat. She just wants attention right now, do I know why? No but ignoring her fake tears is the path i'm going down today.

I start walking towards the group of three. Lee is comforting Jasmine, both of them in a small side huge. Micheal stands there, looking off into the distant as he was thinking about something deep. I didn't know what it was nor wanted to know. It was now that I just realized, a red eyed Lily stands close to him, her arms wrapped around his torso as he makes small circles on her back. She is always zoned out but something happened last night and I didn't have a good feeling about this.

"Goodmorning everyone" I say as I approach them. There eyes all snap up to me and suddenly, Jasmines eyes completely dry and she gives me a lighthearted smile. She moves out of Lee's grasp and she stands next to me and wraps her arms around me like how lily is. Without thinking I put my arm around her shoulders and my eyes go back to everyone else.

"Hi Lily." I add. She normally wasn't with us but I wasn't gonna ask. She doesn't even give me a smile, her eyes don't leave me as she was staring into my soul.It creeped me out but everyone else was doing so I just assumed they were all tired or not with it today so I let it slide.

"Morning." Micheal mumbles. His eyes meet mine and he slightly shakes his head, tell tale sign one. Somethings wrong. We have this secret bro-code we seem to have created over the years, normally when something is wrong, he slightly shakes his head with a sad or angry manner.

That's when I realize, everyone's is whispering around us, looking at our small group before going back to their own and repeating the process. Tell tale sign two, normally yes, they whisper but I have a sicken sense that its not about drama, it's about something different.

Tell tale sign number three, Micheal is rubbing his thumb against his index finger. He's done this since I could remember him. Whenever he thought or needed something else to do, he would fiddle with his thumb. Lastly, tell tale sign number four, Emilia is nowhere in sight. She has been spending the last three months with Lily like they were connected. She's never missed a day of school this year but today, she isn't near lily which tells me she isn't here but the way my heart is telling me she isn't okay is telling me, something is seriously fucked up.

"lWhat happened?" My voice came off harsher then intended but I didn't have it in me to care. 2 minutes ago I was in a good mode but that's now crumbled.

"Didn't you hear?" Jasmines asked. There was a hint of something I couldn't pin her voice, her eyelashes blinked back and forth.

"Jasmine don't." That was the first time i've heard Lily speak today and her voice was hoarse and cracked.

"Why not, you're the one who came running to us?"
