finley

"what do you mean she means nothing to you? how come every single time we break up she's the one you choose. i mean to be honest, she the reason we broke up in the first place." i said. he frowned at me. "she's the one i pick because she reminded me of you when you were thousands of miles away, on the complete opposite side of the country. What was i supposed to do? go into a depression and run the risk of killing myself because i hated myself so much for what happened?" he spat at me. i looked him up and down. He looked like a hot mess, not the guy i started dating in middle school. He didn't have the confidence and the wittiness that he once had. it was like it had been stripped from him. "so this is my fault that you feel like this? i said i wanted a break so i could think about things, and next thing i know you're with mads. you didn't even hesitate." i said. "you have no room to talk, you let tayler spend the night with you the night we broke up after i got out of jail." he said. i was confused, it wasn't like i invited him over. they showed up.

"you've got it all wrong jaden. i never invited them into my room that. they came in once they heard what happened and they were there to comfort me. tayler wound up staying there because it was late. it wasn't like anything happened. we literally slept. if you're going to be upset about something, at least talk to me and figure it out first." i said. "i'm just drunk finley i don't know what to say right now. i'm sorry and i love you and i- i want you back." he said. the door busted open and a girl and a boy were making out and didn't even realize where they were. jaden cleared his through. "who the fuck are y'all and why are y'all in my room?" jaden asked. they turned around and i saw his face. it was tayler and sommer. sommer ray.

he looked at me. "oh hey guys." sommer said. i've never met her before in my life i just know her from social media. "hi" i said. "can y'all get out? we are kinda in the middle of something." jaden said. i looked at him. "what are you guys in the middle of?" sommer asked. i glared at her. "is it any of your business really? you busted up in here in the middle of us talking. i don't think we owe y'all an explanation. i think i need an explanation from tayler though." i said looking at him. "there's no explanation we aren't together." he said. honestly i wasn't hurt by his words or anything i was just shocked. i looked at jaden with a "can you believe what he just said" look on my face. "ok get out." jaden said pushing them out the door and closing it behind them. jaden looked at me. i sat down on the edge of his bed and played with the ring on my finger, not realizing until he mentioned it that it was the promise ring he gave me two years ago. "you still wear it? everyday?" he asked sitting next to me. "of course. why would i take it off?" i asked. "because we aren't together." he said. "yeah well.. i don't know i guess i just could never bring myself to take it off." i said. i laid my head in his lap and he played with my hair.

i looked up at him, and he smiled. "do you wanna go get drunk and have a sleep over at your apartment?" he asked. "fine. yes." i said. we got off the bed and he held his hand out to me. we walked downstairs and the party was starting to clear out already but as long as bryce was here the party wasn't over.

i was working on my third drink since me and jaden's talk when he walked up to the counter that me and amelie, avani, and addison were dancing on. he grabbed my hand and i bent down a little. "you look hot." he whispered in my ear. "so do you." i said back. he smirked at me and i kept drinking. i was almost tipsy and i knew i only needed a few more drinks. addison was about to leave with bryce and avani and amelie we're getting tired so i got down off the table and made myself another drink and two shots. i took the shots fast and i went to pick up my drink and go find jaden when two strong arms wrapped around my waist and picked me up. i squealed as he spun me around. i twisted myself around so i could see him. "how'd you know it was me?" he asked. "after 10 years i know when you hug me" i said. he kissed me and it felt real again. like one of the first kisses we had ever had, even though that was completely untrue. "who's ready to go back home?" he asked. "let me finish this drink and i'll be ready." he smiled and kissed me again. "sounds good baby" he said standing next to me.
