"Why is school so boring?" Y/n's head lazily rested on her arms which were placed on the desk. Surprisingly, she came to the conclusion that it would be a good idea to finally go to school. Five minutes were left before the first lesson would begin. Her purple-haired friend, who was seated next to her, copied Y/n posture. His purple eyes occasionally fluttering shut trying his hardest not to fall asleep.

Y/n was a calm person, staying quite in school lessons, occasionally getting answers her teachers asked her right and of course sometimes turning a bit angry and mad too. Her only friend was the indigo haired Tinkywinky. Hitoshi knew that she preferred not to talk about her feelings and because of that, he didn't question her strange behavior.

In the background, the loud chatter of their classmates could be heard. Some talking about which High school to attend, the newest hero news, or going to the mall.

High school was a theme Y/n tried not to talk or even think of, she rolled her eyes and straightened up in her seat. The talk soon died down, when the all too familiar bell rang signaling the start of the homeroom lesson.

The teacher burst through the door, with a bright smile plastered on her face.
"Morning class!" She exclaimed, while pulling white sheets of paper out of her bag.

"Good Morning, Mizoki-Sensei!" The class replied monotony.

"It's good to see you all again. Especially you, Shikatsu-san!" She laughed while the called out student slipped more into her seat, ignoring the stares her classmates gave her.
Y/n hated the attention and the pity she received from her classmates, it were only two more reasons she could add on the list of why she didn't want to go to school.

"You, my lovely class are finally third years! That means you must choose your high school wisely. I'm sure many of you want to attend U.A but there are many more good schools out there! I will give these papers around, the first one is a paper with school choices and the second one is where you write down your preferences! You have twenty-five minutes to write down your choices, after that, I would like you to give me your papers back!"

Y/n groaned, eyeing the window, 'Is it too late to yeet myself out of the window?' She definitely wouldn't hesitate to pull that move, it wouldn't be the first time after all.

While many students didn't even read the choice paper and quickly wrote down their dream school, Y/n stared intensively at the white paper, spinning a yellow pen in her hand. She wasn't sure about which school to try her luck on, there were many after all.

And this were only the schools that prepared someone to be a hero, there were many more.

Y/n was not a big fan of school, she hated the early waking up and learning about stuff she already knew but besides that, she was sure she wanted to get into a school which could prevail her a good education, maybe even go into a hero course if she would have the potential. Both of her parents went to the support class of U.A and they wished that their oldest daughter would go to the school they have met for the first time too. In their eyes the course was not important as long as she was happy they were happy too.

U.A wasn't only known for the excellent education for young heroes in training, it was also known for the other well-known courses. So even if she tried out to get into the hero course and would fail, there were still the general studies, the support class, and the department of management. Y/n messily wrote her name and her first choice down, the field for the second and third choice were left empty.

Y/n stepped with confidence to the front of the class, returning the paper back to the teacher. Mizoki-Sensei was surprised by that, "Huh? Shikatsu-San you still have ten minutes left, are you sure you have finished?"

"Yes," she said while returning to her place. Mizoki eyed the paper, "UA huh?"

It was meant to be said only for her ears to catch but it also caught the attention of a blue-haired girl with super-hearing sitting a row before Y/n. The blue-haired student turned around, her brows slightly raised. "You're trying out for U.A, Shikatsu-San?"

Now it has caught the attention of the whole class. Heads turning to look Y/n's way. She tried her hardest not to roll her eyes. 'Stop giving me attention, you idiots!' she thought.

She snapped out of it and gave the blue-haired girl a small fake smile. "Sure, why shouldn't I?"

The blue-haired girl scratched the back of her neck awkwardly, "Not to be rude Shikatsu-san, but you are quirkless. I doubt you would have a chance."

'First, that wasn't very cash money of you. Second, I am fucking aware of that.'

Y/n knew something was utterly wrong with herself. From a young age, she knew that she was cursed. It wasn't a quirk, because something like that, was unnatural to be a quirk. Deep down, in her still beating heart, she knew that she was not human.

"Yeah, and what? That doesn't mean I can't try."

The blue-haired girl just rolled her eyes and turned around. She knew better than to get into a fight with Y/n, she may seem to be quirkless but that doesn't mean that she can't beat you in a fist fight.

'I will show these peasants that I'm more than the quirkless girl they pity so much,' she thought but unknown to her, Hitoshi has seen the mischievous glint in Y/n eyes and the smirk pulling at her lips.

She would prove them wrong and there was no denying he would do too.
