We stared at each for a while. Dinadama ang simoy ng hangin at lagaslas ng alon ng karagatan. Hindi inalinta ang pang-umagang sinag ng araw.

If we could just stay like this forever, I would gamble everything I have just to keep this man beside me, hanggang sa dulo… hangga’t makakaya ko.

“Breakfast?” Ani Rad at tinapos ang katahimikang bumabalot sa amin.

I just nodded and stood up. He held my hand and we walked back towards our house.

I was about to sit on our dining table when my phone rang. V’s calling. I sighed and decided to take the call and to also tell her about Rad. I excused myself and went to our terrace to talk to my bestfriend.

“Finally, my goodness!” V shouted as if I can’t hear her at all.

“Don’t shout, will you? You’re breaking my eardrums.” I just laughed. Feeling a bit nervous to tell her about my relationship with Rad.

“So, I called because you never did. You’re super busy lately, what are you up to ba?” V said and I can sense her rolling her eyes.

I chuckled.

“I have a boyfriend,” casual kong sabi, as if it isn’t a big deal.

I’ve been courted with a lot of boys in the city. May mga tipo naman ako but they didn’t pass my ideal standard. They’re enough but when I deeply known them and socialize with them constantly, I always ended up thinking that they’re too much for me, too much for my liking.

“May boyfriend ako, Veronica.” I said again because she is so silent on the other line. “Hello? Are you still there?” I chuckled.

“OH MY GOD! Don’t tell me…” I can sense her being shocked.

“Yes, and I already told you, dumbass.” I laughed to set aside my nervousness.

It’s my first time having an official boyfriend, and it’s also her first time to hear it straight from me.

“Who’s the lucky guy, huh? For sure the Viajero and dela Vega heirs will mourn if they would hear this big news. Oh my god! Finally, the princess of the Conciagra’s is flirting right now.” She laughed and giggled.

“I’m not flirting, gaga ka!” I laughed. “And why would Rafael and Arellano will mourn? We’re both cool the last time we saw each other. I just didn’t bother to reply on their texts baka umasa pa.” I said while slowly going inside the house.

I stopped when I saw that Rad is standing on the door, listening to my call. Kanina pa ba ‘to? God!

“Wow! Can I step on your hair, please? Nakaabot kasi hanggang dito sa kwarto ko.” She laughed. “So, sino nga? Is it the pogi captain the last time I went there? Oh my god! Am I right? Geez! Ang gwapo ‘non, Marem!” She screamed. Hindi pa nga ako nakakapagsalita, inunahan na ako.

I glanced at Rad before answering Veronica’s giggle and teasing laughs.

“Yeah. His name is Rad, the son of Tito Arthuro Fuego. I’m gonna let you meet him once we’re free.” I blushed when our eyes met. His side lips rose and went closer to me for a hug.

He buried his face on my neck and I can feel his heavy breathing that tickles me. Hinayaan ko na lang. God, I can’t resist this man.

“Oh my god! Come home already, please. For sure marami kang chika sa amin ni Naomi. Have you kissed already?” She asked straightforwardly.

My eyes widened and Rad chuckled, for sure narining niya ang sinabi ni V. Shit, this girl!

“What are you talking about?” I laughed while forcing myself not to stutter because of embarrassment.
