Until Then

Kabanata 16

Vestine.

"Oh no! Ry! Shit!" I shouted.

Mahigpit ang kapit ko sa kanyang braso na nasa magkabilang gilid ko. I'm so scared right now. Humalakhak pa sya nang halos yumakap na ako sa kanang braso nya. His arm was hard as a rock but I have no time to think about that now. 

"Chill." He said.

I wanted to punch him because of that. Seriously. Chill? Kanina nya pa pinapabilis ang takbo ng kabayo and I don't even know where we are going. Nasa loob na kami ng gubat ngayon. The view was really beautiful but I couldn't concentrate because of him! 

"Tingin ka sa gilid mo." He held the side of my head and gently pushed it to the side.

''Omg...'' I whispered.

There was a lot of flowers just under the trees. I even saw a deer who was running! I couldn't see a single thing that you can see in the city. All my life, I thought I already saw beautiful sights a person could see. I travel a lot. And all those countries I went are nothing compared to this one. The small sunlight entering the forest made me more ecstatic. This is just so...overwhelming.

"Baba tayo?" He asked and I nodded.

Nauna syang bumaba sa akin. He stood and lifted his hand in front of me. There was a playful smirk on his face. I chuckled and shook my head before reaching for his hand. Nang makababa ako ay bahagya pa syang yumuko.

"Your majesty." He said and bowed his head a little, acting like a prince in some disney princess movie.

"Thank you, slave." I grinned.

Agad umangat ang paningin nya sa akin, "Anong slave?!" He pouted.

"Secret!" I answered before running away from him. 

Nang makawala ako sa hawak nya ay agad akong tumakbo kung saan. I can hear him shouting but I didn't mind it. Alam ko naman na mahahanap nya lang ako. I trust him. I stopped from running when I felt tired. Bahagya pa akong lumingon pero wala akong nakitang kahit isang anino ni Ryle.

Oh well. I'll take this as a chance to relax.

I held my other hand from the back and kicked every rock I see. I sighed heavily before looking up. I smiled when I saw some birds on the trees.

"Hi, how's life up there? Maganda ba?" I chuckled before shaking my head. 

The birds tweet as if they heard and understood what I said. I nodded at them, "Hmm. Keep on flying, birdies!" 

Nagpatuloy lang ako sa paglalakad kahit hindi ko na talaga alam kung nasaan ako. I wanted to also explore for a while. I'll think about the consequences later. Tutal, this is once in a lifetime. I remembered my personal assistant who keeps on telling me, "Ma'am, ang experience habang buhay po. Ang sermon, isang beses lang. Sige, ma'am. Pumili ka nga." She would always say that to me whenever she wants me to try something but I couldn't because mommy will get mad.
