Mabilis kong sinagot ang tawag ng aking ama.
"JEADANN?" Galit na bungad niya.
"Yes, Dad?" Sagot ko.
"ANO NA NAMAN TUNG NABALITAAN KONG TINANGGIHAN MO ANG KOMPANYA NG CANJA SHIPPING LINE? NABOBO NA NAMAN BA YANG UTAK MO?" Utas niya. "AND YOU ARE ACCEPTING ANOTHER COMPANY? WITHOUT ASKING MY DECISION? BASTARDO!" Dagdag pa niya.
Nasuklay ko ang aking buhok gamit ang kamay. Frustated. Ano bang meron sa CSL na yan! King'ina aa!
"Dad" mahinahon kong ani. "I have to decline CSL because their company isn't the biggest cargo vessel in the whole asia, bagohan palang sila." Pagpapaliwanag ko. "And to think- ang kompanya natin ang habol nila para umangat at makasabay sa kompe-.."

"I know you have heard about Valiente Cruising Line, the top cargo vessel sa whole asia. The company is already more than a decade in this business. Yet, there is still no lapses. Maganda ang pagpapatakbo nila. And to think- sikat na ito, makakatulong din ito sa kompanya."
"It's not about the money making of our company that I am concern with, Jeadann. HINDI YON! Our company can stand on it's own." He sighed. "It is... to joint the Marquez and Canja Family. Mas magiging makapangyarihan tayo kapag nangyari. We will sail and sell in the whole asia and to the neighboring countries." Dagdag niya. At alam kong yan ang plano mo dad. Pero hindi ko hahayaang mangyari yan. Hindi ako magpapatali sa babaeng hindi ko mahal. Hindi kay Zaine at kung nino man.
Gem. Tsk! Napangiti ako sa aking naisip.
"What if I'll tell you that.... the President of Valiente Cruising Line is my....... Wife." May ngiti sa labi kong sabi.
Natahimik ang kabilang linya. "Fuck!" Bulaslas ni daddy. "Wa-wait.. I couldn't process what just you have said. What again son?" Tarantang tanong ni daddy.
"Dad, my wife is the only heiress and the President of Valiente Crusing Line. The woman who have been my lost wife for about 10 years. And now I found her da-.."
"Marry her again, Son." Napangiti ako sa sinabi ng aking ama. "That's my last order."
"Yes, Dad. I will." Wala ka ng kawala ngayon Gem. You're all mine and always been mine.
At ibinababa ko ang telepono. There's no room for you to escape Gem. No way.
Lumipas ang ilang araw na magkasama kami ni Gem sa condo ko. Kung nasa trabaho man ay lagi niya akong pinadadalhan ng pagkain.
