It was another weekend and another party. Jungkook couldn't comprehend how he let the old man convince him to attend this one. His father had a way of manipulating him to do things and this was no different. He leaned over the high table, sweeping his gaze across the party hall —always the same, nothing new.

The trip to Paris was extremely good, mostly because he had the two most important people with him. They had explored the city on Sunday. Despite Taehyung's sickness, he kept insisting that he wanted to go out and they did just that. Nothing extravagant —just three friends hitting the streets like the old days. Something had shifted between him and Jimin that night. They had grown closer and for some reason, Jimin went along without question.

Jungkook often wondered if Jimin suspected anything or remembered their time together. He caught the eldest lost in thoughts and sometimes shaking his head while talking to himself. As much as he wanted Jimin to remember him, Jungkook also didn't want that to happen because of the pain associated with it.

He had already put the past behind them and moved on. Sure, the betrayal hurt a lot and it was a touchy subject, but Jungkook realized he couldn't live without Jimin. The eldest had changed and he didn't think it was fair to hold him accountable for something he didn't remember anymore. The fear and insecurity were still there. But —

Jungkook's blood boiled at the sight of her. His grip on the drink tightened as she approached him with a seductive sway of her hip.

"Mr. Jeon," she purred. "What a surprise?"

Jungkook forced a smile. "Eunji."

"So you know me," she smirked. "What are you doing here alone?"

He gritted his teeth as he glared at his nightmare. The woman had stolen his boyfriend once. The person he hated the most. Someone he never wanted to meet.

He was about to answer when her gaze jumped behind him and widened a little. Jungkook looked back and a wave of fury hit him.

"J-Jimin..." Eunji whispered.

Jimin casually walked to them with two drinks in his hand.

"Your drink," he said to Jungkook as he slid the glass of whiskey toward him.

"Hey," Eunji breathed and Jungkook swore he saw a strange sparkle in her eyes.

Jimin cocked his head to the side. "Hello."

"It's been too long." Eunji put a hand on Jimin's.

Jimin lifted a brow with a frown as Jungkook seethed. It was too much. It took every bit of his restraint not to storm off the place.

"Do I know you?"

Jungkook straightened at Jimin's question. An involuntary smirk replaced his scowl.

Eunji looked taken back but soon replaced it with fake laughter. Jimin just stood staring at her.

"You're funny, Jimin. How about a dance?"

Jimin shook his head. "Oh, sorry. I'm not good at dancing."

"Liar," she grabbed his hand in a firm grip just as the song changed. "Come on, I love this song." She took the mocktail from his hand and placed it on the high table.

"I don't think it's a good idea."

But she had already dragged him to the dance floor. Jungkook balled his fists and closed his eyes forcing himself to take a breath. The scene was like a Déjà vu. Her hands were all over Jimin. He watched bitterly as he downed the whiskey. Somethings never change.
