"S-someone is trying to kill me, hyung," Jimin sobbed, face buried into his hands. Hoseok's hands continued to rub circles in his back as Jin and Namjoon watched from the foot of the bed. "I think we all have an idea who is behind all this."

"Jimin-ah, we still don't have evidence. But no one else has a motive or resources to pull something heinous as this," Namjoon said.

It had been two days since Jimin woke up. His panic attacks were worse the first two days, so Jin kept him in the intensive care unit longer. He was just shifted to the private room and Jin had earlier sent Taehyung and Jungkook with Yoongi to Jimin's apartment to get some clothes and other things.

"D-does Jungkook know?" Jimin lifted his head, blinking his bloodshot eyes.

Namjoon shook his head. "Jin hyung thought it's too early to tell him. He's barely holding it together. We know you don't want to stress him with our assumption."

Jimin nodded. "Thanks." He was grateful his hyungs understood him. Jungkook was extremely sensitive and he wanted to save him from the turmoil this could cause him. "I understand why he wants to kill me. It makes sense if he sees me as an obstacle. But what did noona had to do in all this? W-why would he go after her?" A fresh set of tears trickled down his cheeks and sobs racked his body.

"I don't think he's after her." Namjoon wetted his lips. "She's more like collateral damage," he offered.

"Fuck him, hyung. She...she..." He turned his head to meet Hoseok's distraught eyes. "I'm sorry, hyung. It's all because of me. If...If..."

"I have to stop you there, Jimin-ah," Hoseok said softly, his voice hoarse and weak. "You're both important to me." He squeezed his shoulders gently. "It's unfortunate but doesn't ever think this is your fault."

"She wouldn't have gotten hurt if she wasn't with me. She...saved me," Jimin sniffled. "She threw herself on me...she...she..."

"She saved both of you," Hoseok intervened. "The truck hit you from the left side. She had already sustained a severe head injury from the first hit. The airbag failed to work and the second hit would have killed her on the spot if she hadn't moved. The driver didn't make it." He wrapped his hands around Jimin. "She might have done that to save you, but inadvertently that action saved her life too. She's alive, isn't she?"

Jimin pursed his lips. "She hasn't woken up." The tremble he sensed then belonged to Hoseok.

"She's a fighter," Hoseok whispered. "It's hard for us, but I believe. She will wake in no time."

What did he do to deserve this love? Jimin couldn't voice out his thoughts. "She loves you," he whispered instead. "Katy loves you. She wanted me to tell you that." More tears broke free and Hoseok's chest heaved with a sob.

It took a moment for them to compose their emotions. No one spoke for a while. Hoseok was the first to speak, "She can tell me that in person when she wakes up." He wiped his tears and a tight smile stretched his lips. "I just have to wait." He nodded to himself. "I'll wait for her as long as it takes."

"It shouldn't have been like this hyung. She was h-happy..." Jimin hiccupped. "I haven't seen her that happy in a long time." He knew he was going back to that headspace again but he couldn't help it. Her genuine smile and anxiousness when she stood before him in that white t-shirt and jeans flashed in his mind. The same white t-shirt that was turned red less than fifteen minutes later. "She was so excited about dinner. I...I...Nothing good ever happens to me. I keep jinxing it. I ruin it for everyone."
