Epilogue

Squeals and laughter greeted Jimin as soon as he stepped into the backyard of Jin's home. It was Jin and Portia's turn to host this month's BBQ weekend. No matter how tight their schedule was, they met frequently and their monthly get-together was everything he looked forward to.

Jimin beamed as his gaze landed on the children chasing each other. Portia and Jin's daughter turned four this year and then there were Katy's twins who turned three. Alvira's two-year-old son perched on her hip as she chatted animatedly with Portia who was preparing the cocktails.

Yoongi was manning the grill while Jin was busy with something the dining table that held multiple dishes. Namjoon and Taehyung were chatting with a drink in their hands.

"Uncle Minnie!"

Jin's daughter Pearl was the first to notice their arrival.

"Hey, munchkin," he scooped the little girl into his hands just as two tiny critters crashed into his knee, peals of laughter drifted around them as Jungkook hurriedly hoisted them both into his arms, his nose scrunching up to form an adorable smile. The twins reached out to their uncle, squishing his cheeks as he kissed them both on their noses, cooing.

"I missed you, uncle Minnie," Pearl pouted.

"I'm here now, little one. And I brought your favorite hotteok."

"Really?" Pearl squealed, wiggling out of his arms and reached for the bag in his hand before calling for her mom and running to her. "Mommy! Uncle Minnie brought hotteok."

Jimin watched her fondly as he took one of Katy's boys from Jungkook. Five years ago when the little one wrapped her fingers around his index fingers, Jimin knew he wanted a family with Jungkook. The youngest was elated when Jimin said he wanted children of their own.

"Hey, baby. Did you thank Uncle Minnie?" He heard Portia say to her daughter.

"Oops, I forgot, Mommy." Pearl turned running to Jimin again. "Thank you, Uncle Minnie."

"You're most welcome, munchkin." He bent to kiss the top of her head.

"Minnie!" Taehyung slung an arm around his shoulder. "You're late."

"We got caught in traffic."

"Here, hyung. Your favorite wine." Jungkook handed him a bottle.

"Ah, my Jungkookie knows the best." Taehyung rewarded them with a boxy smile while Yoongi waved at them with a gummy smile.

The others beamed greeting him and Jungkook with a hug. Soon they each took a task, helping each other as they chatted away.

So much had changed over the years and life turned so much better. Jungkook was now a full-time game developer while Jimin worked as a Managing Director at one of Hoseok's businesses. Taehyung has joined Yoongi to open their own entertainment company, which was now flourishing. The women quit their jobs to open a daycare since they loved to work with children. What started as a simple business had now become a well-known daycare franchise in South Korea.

In short, life was better and everything Jimin has ever wanted in his life. He now had a family and was a Godfather to four amazing children he loved more than anything.

It was ten p.m. when they finally settled in around the campfire they built, sipping their drinks. The children sleeping peacefully a few feet away on the fluffy blankets they laid out on the lawn.

"So...Jungkookie and I have news," Jimin announced with a huge smile on his face.

"Oh, my God!" Taehyung's eyes widened with his grin almost splitting his face. "Is it happening?"

Jimin nodded, his eyes burning with tears as his chest felt like it'll explode. They received the wonderful news this evening and he couldn't wait to share it with their family. They started looking into surrogacy two years ago, working through all legal formalities. Jungkook reached out grasping his hand and squeezing it gently. Jimin absent-mindedly traced the wedding band on Jungkook's hand.

"We found a surrogate."

Cheers exploded around them, women pulling them in for a tight hug, sniffling.

"You're going to be an amazing father," Katy sniffled. "You both are."

"I'm so happy I can't stop crying." Portia was wiping off her tears.

"I can't wait!" Alvira squealed. "Oh, my God! They're going to be so adorable."

"With squishy cheeks and bunny smile..." Katy added.

"We also have news," Taehyung said. "The adoption agency said they have a match," he beamed.

Warmth burst into Jimin's chest as he hugged his soulmate, congratulating him and promising him to help to prepare his nursery. Their laughter and cheerful sounds continued as the stars shone brightly above their head, the moon smiling on them.

As Jimin gazed into Jungkook's warm gaze, he once again realized how fortunate he was to have the youngest in his life. He leaned in for a kiss, which the youngest returned happily, cupping his cheek.

Life could through multiple curveballs, but in the end, true love will always win. Love will always remember and love will always find you.
