He he...I snuck in. I didn't cheat on studying. I finished a topic before I wrote this one. Now going back to books. See ya soon.

"Taehyungie, have I ever met Jungkookie's father before?" Jimin asked the question that was nagging him since morning.
They were driving to the venue to supervise the event arrangements. The event management company they hired was very well capable of pulling this without a hitch, but the demanding asshole of a big boss wanted them onsite, numbing their asses off. So, here they went. Jimin also had to get out of the office for a while.
"No," Taehyung said. "Jungkookie never liked to talk about his parents. Whenever we asked he'd say he doesn't want to talk about them. The first time I met him was when Jungkookie got into trouble for DUI."
"What?" Jimin fully turned in his passenger seat to face his best friend. "He got into DUI?"
Taehyung nodded, slanting a glance at Jimin. "He was in a pretty bad shape after...you know," he trailed off. "He got into drinking and was self-destructive during the first year. It took a while, but I got him into therapy and he started boxing and other workouts. He was getting better." Tae kept his gaze ahead as he recalled the past. Pain washed over his features. "Sometimes, the situation got out of hand, like the day he got drunk again. It was your relationship anniversary."
Jimin averted his face, heart racing. Just how much did Jungkook suffer? The car moved slowly through the city traffic in contrast to his racing thoughts.
"After his DUI stunt, his father intervened, threatened to freeze his funds, and pushed him into the business with little to no help. He didn't want to do it. Jungwoo-ssi made a public announcement that he will take over. It was that or to face public humiliation. He ignored his father's offer for a week. The media attention was suddenly on him and he couldn't even get out of the house. It was too much for his introverted personality." They stopped at a red light, Tae resting his head on the backrest for a moment. "He proposed a deal with his father. He would take over if his father allowed him to hire me. His father hated me and didn't want to do it, but Jungkook didn't budge. Jungwoo-ssi gave in an hour before Jungkook had to meet the press for the first time."
Taehyung reached to pat Jimin's shoulder with a smile as if sensing his inner turmoil. "It's okay, Minnie. It's all in the past and I'm telling you because you asked. Don't blame yourself for this."
"How can I not blame myself Tae?" Jimin expelled a heavy sigh. It all started with him. He was the eldest of the two. Jungkook had always been too sensitive. Jimin was no stranger to Jungkook's anxiety attacks. He should have known better.
"Shut up. You both suffered all because of the circumstances you had no control over, to begin with. I understand it's not easy, but blaming yourself isn't going to make this better." Tae reached to squeeze his hand. "What matters now is that you're back together again and you're standing up for him." He beamed. "That boardroom show was lit. Do you think anyone had ever stood up to him before like that? You're the first to do that Minnie."
"That's why I'm worried, Tae. Why hasn't he done something?" Jimin frowned. "It doesn't make sense. There was only a handful of times I went against him to cancel the schedule. He doesn't have to behave hostile over trivial matters like this." Jungwoo didn't like him and didn't bother to hide the fact from him either.
Now that got Taehyung thinking. Jimin could almost see the wheels turning in his head. "He has ignored me all this time. Even if we are in the same room, he never addresses me. That's what he does, either he ignores you like you doesn't exist or he fires you."
