┏━━━━━━ Kayla's pov ━━━━━━┓
I stood in front of a mirror wearing a beautiful white dress that hugged my body perfectly. My body and face having no traces of past inflictions and war wounds. I looked beautiful. For some reason, I knew where I was going and walked down the stairs of my house and getting to the back entrance. Everyone was there setting up a large dinner table for all of us to eat. I smiled walking past Andrea and Amy seeing they were laughing at one another.
" Mermaids are better." Amy giggled
Turning away from the sisters, another pair caught my attention and I smiled at Beth and Maggie singing with Hershel while Glenn played the guitar.
" Take my hand. I'm standing right here. You gotta hold on."
The Greene's family voice carried out sweetly and I turned away seeing Jacqui, Jim, Dale, and T-dog laughing and drinking some kind of beer.
" I'm telling you. Children in France can drink." Dale chuckled a big tipsy.
Right next to them, Karen, Tyreese, Sasha, Bob, Abraham, Rosita, Eugene, Tara, and Denise started to set the table with little decorations and Abraham mumbled something annoyed when forced to fold the napkins into a swan.
" For all this I better be eating a damn swan myself tonight."
" So there I was." I heard and turned seeing Merle had Judith and Luke sitting on his lap while on the floor, Sophia, Carl, Noah, Lizzie, Mika, and Enid listened a bit in laughter." Thirty walkers coming at me and only one hand bleeding out. They growled and snapped their teeth at me."
" Uncle Merle, did you live ?" Luke gasped, causing Merle to laugh loudly.
" I was not that dumb in high school." Shane grumbled, sitting with my parents and Lori. Dad had his arms around Mom, and Lori sat in Shane's lap, laughing with her friends.
" Yeah, right !"
" Lee Lee was the smartest." Dad commented, kissing the side of her head and getting a giggle out of her.
" Hey."
The voice came from my own husband and I smiled, but it slowly came into a shocked one seeing the little bundle of joy in his arms sleeping. This isn't real.
" Kayla ?"
My eyed slowly opened and I blinked the tears away, realizing I was crying in my sleep. Daryl's arms came around me and lightly turned me until I was facing him. He was worried and I blinked more tears away, remembering my dream.
" Was it a nightmare ?"
" No." I sniffed looking up to his ocean blue eyes." It was a good dream."
" Then why are you crying ?"
I sniffed again, " Because I could never have it." I explained sitting up slowly because of my swollen stomach." Amy, Jim, Jacqui, Sophia, Dale, Shane, T-dog, Lori, Merle, Andrea, Karen, Hershel, Mika, Lizzie, Bob, Beth, Tyreese, Noah....they were all alive. They were with us."
