┏━━━━━━ Kayla's Pov ━━━━━━┓
It's been eight months since Woodbury and the prison went to war. It's been eight months since Andrea and Merle died. Life at the prison is better than it's been in its past. Dad has brought in new people and asked if they can help while they stay with us. Carl had learned to do some farming, and Mom has been watching the children learn and grow.
I opened my eyes to see Daryl next to me, sleeping like an angel. I smiled and got on top of him, just staring at the beautiful man. He was so far into his sleep I almost felt bad about waking him up. Almost. I placed my hand on his cheek and leaned down planting a kiss onto his lips. He twitched under my touch while I smiled slowly moving from his lips and down towards his neck feeling his grip tighten around my waist.
" Morning Handsome," I said when he grabbed my face still straddling him and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck, feeling his hands make their way up my sides.
" Best part of waking up is knowing you're there." He said, and I smiled, nodding.
" You ready for today ?" I asked, seeing he closed his eyes falling back down the bed and groaned.
Today Daryl, Sasha, Tyreese, Zach, Bob, Glenn, and I were going to The Big Spot to get some stuff for the group and Judith, and per usual, it made Daryl nervous once hearing I was coming.
" Baby, do you have to go ?" He asked, opening his eyes again.
" Yes, we have to go," I said, pulling him back up." If I have to farm with my Dad I'm blaming you."
" Kayla." He whined, and I laughed.
" Up. Up. Up" I laughed." Daryl, you known me for a year now. You should know that I never change my mind after something."
" It was worth a shot." He said and pecked my lips three times.
" Don't worry, the run will be quick." I said before playing with his shirt devilishly." And I was thinking, maybe after the run, we can sneak out to the guard tower and do stuff that won't be so quick."
" God, I love you." He said before flipping us over and kissing me.
My hands traced his abs and I couldn't supress my moan when he kissed my neck right on the part he knew would cause it. He laughed in victory and I pushed him off with a laugh hating that he always one.
" Asshole. I wanna get some breakfast." I said, changing my shirt before turning and pecking his lips." I'll meet you on the dirt path."
" Wait." He said, grabbing my arm and smiled." One more kiss."
I laughed and kissed him long and passionate before walking down the stairs and seeing Judith play with a cup. Beth was sitting a the table folding Judith's laundry and I knew it was something she loved to do. Beth would be an amazing mother with the way she took care of Judith. She knew everything about what the little girl would need to grow up.
" Morning, Beth. Hey Jojo."
Judith looked at me and smiled widely, putting her hands up at me. Her big brown eyes reflected of Lori and I smiled moving some blonde hair from her head that was noticably starting to turn brown the older she got.
" Has she tried walking yet?"
" She was close to." Beth admitted." She saw Rick and Carl leaving and got up on two feet. You're Dad really thought she was about to take a step, but she fell on her butt."
I laughed and smiled at the 12 month old," Soon, Jojo. Soon." I said kissing her on the cheek and jogged to breakfast.
Outside the cellblocks was nothing like it was eight months ago. We had benches set up for everyone to eat and it really did look like a cafe outside compared to a prison cellblock. I smiled at the new comers seeing some children smile at me.
