I woke up recognizing myself to be in a tent. Who's tent was I in? Where am I? Is everyone okay? A vase of violet's stood next to the bed, and I frowned, wondering who had done it. I started to get up, but a painful sting happened at my side. Cursing in my head, I pulled my shirt up and saw it came from a white bandage with a faded patch of red leaking through. I ran my hand against it feeling the throbbing of my skin.

" Are you ok ?" I heard and look over to see Daryl Dixon.

He was in the corner of the tent, watching me with careful eyes like I was going to die any second. He had bags under his eyes, meaning he didn't sleep all last night. I blushed, imagining Daryl being up all night and just staring at me. I could only hope my mouth wasn't hung open the whole night.

" Yeah." I said, looking over to the vase." How did you know violets were my favorite flower?"

He snorted, " I didn't. I just saw them by some small meadow and placed it near you." He explains. I got up, nodding, seeing he quickly got up, holding his arms out a bit." Take an easy ok. You got stabbed, remember?"

The memories came back from the walker herd coming and attacking the group. He assisted me out of the tent when I saw how horrible the damage was. There was the blood of people on the floor, trees, plants, and tents. Group members moved around, burning the dead walkers and burying the dead group.

" Oh...God." I gasped, shaking my head from just how nasty the attack was.

Everything looked like a nightmare, but I knew it wasn't. It was a rough piece of reality. That attack might have lasted for ten to fifteen minutes, but took so many lives. I even looked to the RV seeing Andrea over the body of Amy.

" Hey, you ok ?" I heard and looked forward, seeing Glenn worriedly come over. Daryl saw I was in safe arms and nodded before leaving to help.

" She's dead ?" I asked, skipping how I was and asked about Amy.

Tears came to my eyes at the thought that the girl was just alive hours ago. Glenn nodded his head, not saying anything. I sniffed before looking over to see my Dad quickly walking over.

" Kayla." He said, embracing me quickly. I cried on his shoulder, mourning the young girl who was only three years younger than me." It's okay."

" Mom? Carl ?" I panicked, but he quickly held a hand for me to calm down.

" They're okay. Just a bit shaken up."

" Walker got him! A walker bit Jim !"

Freezing, Dad and I looked over, seeing the frantic Jacqui point to Jim while getting away from him. Jim looked terrified while all the adults, including myself, surrounded him.

" Show it to us !" Daryl yelled, causing Jim to turn and swing a shovel around. Daryl saw this and quickly placed me behind him. I tried to get out from behind Daryl, but he kept me still behind him." Stay here."

I couldn't even question it when T-Dog snatched Jim's hands, and Daryl pulls his shirt up, revealing a bit mark. It was red and purple, and a little bit of white stuff came out. Everyone gasped, seeing the man sweating uncontrollably.

" I'm okay. I'm okay." Jim repeated over and over again, but everyone knew he wasn't.

Jacqui had Jim sit by a tree while we all talked about him. I took a look at Jim, seeing he stared at the distance, sweating and not even phased by the bite. He was dying and for the first time, I was seeing this up close.

" I say we put a pickaxe in his head and the dead girl's and be done with it," Daryl argued, but I glared at him for that.

" They're still people. Is that what you want? If it were you?" I asked.
