Sun ablaze looked down
Etched in his yellow face was a frown
An emotion passed, escaped in a pout
For which this poem is about

Wind, cool and easy, noticed him
Asked him why the sky was so dim
He replied with a voice like cream
"Oh, I wish this was all a dream"

"Sun cannot dream, not even a small one"
Replied Wind, who started to frown
"Look here, Sun, look down
Look at the people, in hunger they drown"

"Shine your rays on their thirsty plants
Give them what you can in every way
Share your warmth, shine in the bay
Please, oh please, let them see the day!"

"Alas, I cannot," Sun said
"I cannot shine anymore even when they're all dead
Just see, Wind, see what they have done
To my world, my world that's only one!"

"Look at them thrashing my plants
Look at them eating my cows
Aren't they contented for what they have?
Look at me, you have to understand!"

Wind was not convinced
She insisted that he should rinse
The darkness that ruled for three years
She said she loved her very own dears

"Well, you go shine on them"
Sun said very coldly
"I cannot do any more, I'm sorry
I will not and never, please forgive me"

"Why?" asked Wind in great reply
"Why do you have to let them die?
Why do you make them sigh?
Or let them look hopefully to the sky?"

"They're relying on you
I know you know it, too
Please let them see you, please do
Don't let them see only blue"

Sun replied in deep anger
"I do not want to, any longer
Nature cries, do you not know?
Look at them, you'll understand how!

I don't care if they rely on me
I don't want them asking for rays
Leave me, if you want to see the days
Leave me or the high price you'll pay"

Then he drove Wind out of his sight
Planting in her was a great deep fright
She never again tried with all her might
To convince Sun who let rule the Night

Now you see what will happen
If we let Nature cry
Help Sun to shine again
Help Sun not to be mistaken

Cry of Nature, we can hear today
Do not let it be louder if you may
Do not be led astray
Do not let it be the price to pay

Cry of Nature, we can hear todayDo not let it be louder if you mayDo not be led astrayDo not let it be the price to pay

Um, there's so much going on in this poem that I don't even remember writing. Basically, it's an advocacy to save nature. That's it.

It's also the first time I've tried this sort of story-telling in the poem and I don't know if it turned out good or not. Haha.

So, what do you think? Comment below. :))
