Is love hard?
Is love just a lucky card?
Is love like a shining star
That needed to be impossibly far?

Love is hard for me
For me, who differently sees
The world full of miseries
A home full of mysteries

A world full of pain
A world full of disdain
A world where evil reign
A world where I expected to rain

Your face that caught my eye
Your eyes that pleaded goodbye
Your hands that became my guide
Your embrace that made me decide

We promised something
Something I never could bring
Something that made me reckless
Something that made you leave me restless

Time has been given
Patience has been taken
Understanding has been mistaken
I'm sorry, I cannot give that much again

Begging me is the last thing you did
Knocking sweetly because of greed
Never again shall I make you my steed
I'll never fall again, that you will heed

I know you will not stop
Goodness you used as a prop
To me, you did not let it drop
Now, hatred will be the crop

You tricked me into endless misery
You told my heart an innocent story
Forgive my reckless hand, I'm so sorry
A curse I give to you, happiness is the fee

A beast now crawled the land
A monster who can't even stand
Took heart and struck a fearless hand
Against me, against magic in wand

An unexpected event happened
A wound has been reopened
Mercy, over me, has flooded
Good, in me, suddenly existed

Defences have lowered
Gentleness has flowered
Memories suddenly showered
Where you and I spent time unbothered

You took that chance
Unsheathed the claws you enhanced
I never had the moment to glance
At the face I loved, at least once

My life has shattered
Goodbye, to me, has been offered
I accepted the call that whispered
And let go of the anger I've gathered

A cure for love I needed
Warnings and commands I hadn't heeded
Pain and hatred are all I can feel
Now it cost me something magic can't heal

Death

I think this is the first time I tried telling a story through poetry

I think this is the first time I tried telling a story through poetry. I remember just writing that out of nowhere, thinking of a tragic love story between a witch and a normal human. Following the verses, apparently, they loved each other until their relationship soured and the witch had to let the guy go.

But he didn't stop. He kept coming back. The witch cursed him to be a monster-ish type of thing because she couldn't bear him anymore. Then, the guy came back and attacked the witch. Instead of blasting him to dust (which she could do), she let herself be killed when she realized that there's no outrunning love and the guy (that's one persistent dude, if you ask me).

So apparently, death is the cure for love. Because once you start loving, there's really no end to it until you die.

So, what do you think? Comment below. :))
