"minho, they don't have signal in wherever they are. we can't track them." bang chan reasoned, bending to look at the monitor on minho's right. jisung hums in agreement. "who else could help us? we are clearly not of help."

hyunjin frowns, replying, "the joshua guy did have some connections. what was her name? kaechun? gaeseon?"

jisung grunts, angrily snarling at hyunjin for no reason. "it's kaesun!"

minho's eyebrows furrow, thinking through. can kaesun truly help them? she's a student. a kid. exposing young people in this field is extremely dangerous, and they might grow into damaged people. but, kaesun is their only hope.

kaesun has joshua's blood running in her veins. if not as smart as joshua, she is still above average. she knows much more than these four clueless people(who were supposed to be backup, ugh).

"let's go." minho stood up from his chair, running downstairs. the three other people followed him tiredlessly. they were probably also craving action, and answers.

immediately, after everyone entered minho's car, minho sets the gps to joshua's previous apartment—where kaesun recently lives. without a doubt, minho drives. "buckle up."

"what the fuck, chill man!" jisung holds on to hyunjin, fearing that his life might end today. in minho's hands. "drive safely!"

"we might be safe, but seungcheol and seventeen might not be." bang chan turns his head to look at jisung sitting on the backseats with hyunjin. "don't be loud."

"AAAAAHHH!"

bang chan sighs. "i just told you not to be loud and you scre—"

"we're here." minho drifts, all of a sudden. as minho dangerously parked on the curb, jisung sighs.

"kaesun!"

"ah!"

minho screams back, "ah!" making the atmosphere a little lighter due to the handful of laughter. mostly coming from hyunjin. "are you notified that seungcheol and the other members have been abducted?!"

kaesun looked distressed. "no, wait! i have a friend over! he could hear you!" kaesun panics, eyeing the four tall men looming over her. why are they here?!

kaesun was about to whip out the gun she hid under her pillow! what if she grabbed it and shot them without looking? she would be framed for murder, and seventeen would be in vain, and the four men here would be dead!

ah, wait, kaesun sighed. they're ability users. they won't die easily.

but—whatever! felix is here and he most probably heard minho speak!

"a..a friend?" hyunjin asks, furrowing his eyebrows. "where is he? we can do something about him. let's locate that guy. jisung, use your clairvoyance."

"sure." jisung nods nonchalantly, turning his ability on, looking around. it was not fun sticking your nose in places that require privacy, but well, discussing this matter needs privacy too so they can't risk anyone hearing any detail about this. "i see him. behind the co—"

"no no no no!" the said friend of kaesun's, felix, emerged from behind the couch. he was as equally distressed as kaesun. "don't worry. i know about abilities and seventeen. i have an ability myself too."

the four men looked at him questioningly, wondering if he just made that up or he's a part of mafia whatsoever.

jisung speaks, "show us then."

inhaling deeply, felix raises his index, demonstrating his ability—but nothing really happened indoors. what was that? is he delusional or something?

though, nothing happened in there, the sounds of thunder outside could be heard.

yes, right, felix can summon thunder and lightning by command. his ability was not the most quirky or creative one, but it was powerful. earthly element-based abilities are hard to fight against, like minghao's, minho's, and jihoon's brother's ability. okay—hard to most  people, but to chan, not so much.

the four other men, though, were unfazed.

"alright." bang chan shrugs, before turning back to kaesun. "we're here to ask a favor. we clearly suck at technology, and maybe you can help us track the boys. please?"

"actually, i was tracking noir just now. i placed a tracker on her collar the last time i met her..." kaesun trails off, whipping her phone out and typing incessantly. "my cat went missing several days ago. noir comes back, but only for a short while, and then she's gone again. guess i'll have to put the noir situation away for later since she comes back anyway.."

"noir? isn't that wonwoo's cat?" minho asked, curiously tilting his head to the right. "i took care of it before. it's such a pain in the ass."

felix and kaesun looked at each other before laughing. oop. are they having a moment? "that's true. but whatever, let's go find seventeen."

kaesun and the others turn to the left, going towards kaesun's room to go and track the abducted members of seventeen. even felix joined—but minho froze in place.

noir. noir.

a gift from jihoon to wonwoo, from the local pet adoption store. that place was already a bit sketchy, but surprisingly, that cat got even more suspicious after wonwoo got abducted two years ago.

until now. shit! why weren't they paying attention to that goddamn cat?! it is bad luck, after all! why didn't they get chan to touch it? that cat is a bitch!

"minho?" hyunjin inquired, snapping minho out of his thoughts. minho realizes that he'd delayed operations at once—but his other realization was important, nonetheless. "let's go."

"noir. noir is the culprit." minho states, with wide eyes. "neko mafia. neko means cat in japanese. the mafia boss must surely have a correlation to the mafia name, for him to pick 'neko'. right?"

bang chan's eyes lit up, with a smile. "so, i guess his ability is turning into a cat?"

yes. noir is not a mere cat, pet, or something cute. noir is the reason why wonwoo got abducted, why neko mafia seems updated with seventeen's whereabouts, why seventeen got abducted. noir is a person with an ability. noir is a member of neko mafia.

though they were on the losing streak, they can't deny how good this was planned. they used noir to spy on wonwoo, and that's the same way wonwoo's kidnapper two years ago got in seventeen's building so easily. noir. noir.

kaesun is in danger as well. she stayed with noir for a long time, and noir probably learned how joshua's tech worked, and how kaesun used her tech too. noir has too much knowledge, and his knowledge will obviously be used against seventeen and the backup boys. what the fuck!

"well, yeah, this is not the time to get scared." jisung grunts, placing his hands inside his pockets. "are you going to let this delay our mission?"

"no." minho huffs, stepping closer to jisung.

"well then." jisung raises an eyebrow. "let's go."
