𝘐𝘝. 𝘔𝘢𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴

★-------- STEPHANIE WALKS down the stairs to grab her scarf before she meets the girl at Hogmeade, once she made it down the stairs she saw the four boys sitting in the common room. She scans the room for her yellow and maroon scarf, once she spots her scarf she mentally cursed at herself for leaving it there. Her scarf laid right on the single couch right behind James's head. She decided to just forget about her scarf and go without it before she could walk out the common room Sirius called her over.

"Rose, your smart come here." Stephanie heard mumbling behind her, she looked at the time before turning around to face the group of boys with a fake smile. She walked over to the boys and stood beside Remus's couch, she scanned through the table and saw parchment and their wands laying there.

Stephanie raised her eyebrows and looked between the boys."What's this?" Stephanie asked as she walked closer to the parchment paper and picked it up, both sides of the parchment were blank which peaked her interest.

"It's a map we made for the school." James said, he picked up his wand and tapped the parchment. Once he tapped the parchment, the once blank parchment was with different rooms. Stephanie saw mini footsteps and saw everyone's name written on their, the names moved with the footsteps.

"This is so cool." She said in awe as she watched the different names move around the map.

"All my idea, love." Sirius said which earned a smack from Remus. Stephanie laughed before handing the map back to James.

"So, what did you guys need help with?" Stephanie asked as she sat beside Sirius who was sitting on a bigger couch.

"We're going to put a charm on it, so we need a phrase to open and close the map." Sirius explained as he fidgeted with his wand.

"And you need my help because?"

"Because we can't think of one." James threw up his arm as he threw his leg over the couches arm rest. Stephanie nodded slowly before thinking a little bit, the boys watched her as she thought suddenly Stephanie jumped up and looked at the boys.

"I got one!" She clapped, James dropped his leg back down and sat up straight.

"Okay, let's hear it." He encouraged her.

"Mischief managed." She smiled proudly, the boys thought about it before vigorously nodding.

"That's perfect to close the map." Sirius clapped, Remus quickly took out his quill and parchment and started writing it down.

"Now how about the next one." James said, Stephanie sat back down to think again. She hummed as she was thinking through different phrases but her mind went blank.

"Well?"

"Shh, this is hard." She held up her pointer finger, James rolled his eyes before leaning back down in his chair.

"Well, we all know that you guys aren't up to good so maybe that could have something to do with that." As Stephanie said that James jumped up and pointed at her.

"What did you just say." He started pointing at her excitedly.

"Um, that you guys are always up to no good?" Stephanie said, confused. Suddenly a phrase popped up in her head, Stephanie jumped up just like James and started clapping.

"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good!" Stephanie said excitedly as she smiled proudly.

The boys gasped and started telling Remus to quickly write it down.

"That's perfect!" Sirius smiled. Stephanie started laughing at them as they all agreed with the phrase, the talking died down once they heard the common room open. James quickly grabbed the map off the table and shoved it into his pocket, they heard girls chattering and Stephanie realized what time it was. Stephanie tried to run upstairs before the girls could see her but she was too late because Lily saw her long black hair.

"Stephanie Mae Rose!" Lily called out, Stephanie winced once she heard her. Stephanie turned around and saw Lily standing with her arm crossed with Marlene and Alice beside her.

"Where were you." She said with a serious tone, Stephanie felt like a toddler who got caught by their mom because they were trying to get a cookie.

"We were waiting for you for forty-mintues, and you never came." Lily continued.

"I was coming but I got distracted." Stephanie mumbled quietly but Lily stil was able to hear her.

"Distracted with what?" She raised her eyebrow?

"With us, love." James spoke up, Lily eyed widened before glaring at him.

"She was helping us with homework, Evans." James walked up to them and stood beside Lily.

"Yeah they asked me for help and I guess I lost track of time. I'm sorry guys." Stephanie explained giving James a grateful look and before looking back at the red head.

"It's okay, Steph. We were just worried that something happened to you." Marlene said, patting Lily's back.

"I'm just glad that nothing happened to you." Lily smiled and hugged the shorter girl. Stephanie hugged back before the other two girls joined in, James was also about to join the hug but we all looked up and glared at him which made her retreat.

"We're going to go change for dinner and we will head to the great hall." Lily said, Stephanie nodded and they went upstairs. Stephanie sighed before sitting back down next to Sirius.

"Thanks for your help, Potter." Stephanie closed her eyes as she leaned her head against the couch.

"No problem, Rose." He smiled as he also sat down beside her.

"You're part of the Marauders now, we always help each other." James shrugged.

"I thought that was a joke." Stephanie opened her eyes and sat up straight again.

"Does it look like we joke around." James tried to make a serious face but ended up just laughing, Stephanie and the boys joined in the laughing before quieting down.

"Miss Stephanie Rose, we would like to offer you a once in a lifetime to be a marauder." James said in a deeper voice,Stephanie laughed again before shaking her head.

"I would love to be a marauder." Stephanie smiled which made the boys all cheer making Stephanie giggle.

★----- This chapter is Heavily inspired by "Mischief Managed" by fhreyachaes. I loved how she wrote that chapter and knew I wanted to write a scene like that. I tried my very best to change it up and how it was written but all credit go to her!
