╚»The memories we make with our family is everything.«╝

--------STEPHANIE AND HER PARENTS WERE in the kitchen baking, it was always a tradition they did  whenever she came back home from Hogwarts was to bake a birthday since they aren't able to be there for her birthday.  She doesn't go home during the holiday because of how busy both her parents were. She always hated not having her parents with her on her birthday, but they always made up for it with presents and food.

"Anie." Her Father snapped her out of thought, her parents have always called her Anie ever since she was baby. They were the only ones who called her that.

"Yeah." Stephanie asked as she looked up from cracking the eggs.

"We should talk about your pranks." Stephanie rolled her eyes as she moved past him to throw away the eggs.

"Stephanie, they are getting out of hand." He said looking at her seriously. Stephanie sighed as she stood next to her mother who was stirring the batter.

"Don't worry darling, I find them quite funny." Her mom whispered in her ear,  Stephanie tried to stifle her laugh but she bursted in laughter. Her Mother also started laughing, her father narrowed his eyes at them before also joining in their laughter.

Stephanie's parents were the perfect definition of opposite attract, when her parents attended Hogwarts in 1938 her mother was a Slytherine as her father was a gryffindor. Her mother never really talked about her time at Hogwarts, it always seemed to be a sensitive topic to her. Her father was more open about talking about it, but he seemed to talk more about meeting her mother than how his time being a Gryffindor was. Her father and mother was ecstatic when they heard about her being sorted into Gryffindor, she still has her letters that her parents sent her on her first day of school

"Pumpkin, you can go upstairs. We will finish the rest." Stephanie nodded, kissing both her parents on the cheeks before going to her room. She opened the door to her room letting the smell of peaches invade her nostrils. She plopped herself on her bed, she stared at the stars that she painted on the ceiling when she was younger. She smiled as she thought of writing to her friends, she jumped up and walked to her white desk.

She sat down and went through the different types of envelopes, she decided to pick a basic white one and started writing. She spent at least a few hours before finishing, she wrote one to each of her friends. Including James. She walked to the third floor where they had an owl room, Stephanie opened her Owl's cage earning a happy squawk from her.

Stephanie giggled at how the Owl looked so happy, "Mimi, Take these to Lily, Alice, Marlene, Remus, Sirius, Peter and James." Mimi took them happily as she flew away. She still wrote to Peter even though they barely talked, she thought it wouldn't be right if she wrote to everyone but him. Stephanie sighed, turning around but a glimpse of a clean letter caught her attention, the letter was in the garbage bin but somehow it still caught her attention. Stephanie walked towards the letter and picked it up, she flipped it around to the front and read the perfectly handwritten name. Tom Marvolo Riddle. Stephanie furrowed her brow at the name, she ran her hand to the wax about to open it.

"Stephanie!" Stephanie dropped the letter in reflex.

"Come down for dinner!" Stephanie relaxed before picking up the letter, she knew this name sounded familiar. Stephanie decided to write down the name on a scrap piece of paper, she shoved the paper in her pocket and threw the letter back in the bin before leaving.

"It smells good." It smelt amazing, the smell of the dishes was all Stephanie could smell she didn't realize how hungry she was before coming downstairs.

"It truly does." Her father nodded as they all sat down. They all talked about many things just trying to catch up, they all laughed when her mother told her about how her father almost burnt down the house with his cooking. Stephanie loved these moments with her parents, it reminded her of when she was a kid.

After dinner her parents waved her off when she suggested helping with the chores, she took the time to try to figure out who sent that letter. Tom Marvolo Riddle. Stephanie swears she heard the name before she just couldn't figure it out, suddenly she felt the slight pain again in her head just like when she was on the train. She groaned as she ran a hand through her face, the pain kept getting more intense. Suddenly the pain went away when she heard whispers and a knock on her door.

Stephanie walked to the door and opened it, she saw her mother and father holding the cake they baked together.

"Happy early birthday!" They exclaimed as they held up the cake closer to her face, Stephanie giggled before blowing out the candles. Stephanie grabbed the cake and placed it on her desk before wrapping her arms around them.

"I love you guys so much." She whispered to them, she could feel her parents smile.

They tighten the hug, "We love you too, Pumpkin." Her father said.

They brought the cake downstairs to eat, they all decided to eat the cake while playing a board game her parents bought when they went to the muggle world last summer. One of the things she had in common with her parents was how competitive she was, once they started playing a game they weren't a family for that whole hour. Stephanie always laughs when she sees her parents bicker when they play but even when they bicker her father always looks at her mother lovingly. It was always wholesome to see how they interacted, even being together for more than fifteen years they still were so loving. They never lost their love and Stephanie always wished she could have a relationship like them.

"I won! Ha, in your face. Micheal." Her mother jumped up in victory as she pointed at her husband.

Her father chuckled before standing up, "I let you win, Sandra." Her father teased, her mother glared before whacking him on the head. Her father laughed again before kissing a delicate kiss on her mother's check.

Stephanie's face twisted in disgust, "Nasty." Her face scrunched up playfully, her parents playfully glared at her.

"Off to bed you." Her mother shooed her, Stephanie laughed before getting up and saying goodnight. She walked up to her room and opened the door, she walked towards her closet to put on a jumper because of how much colder her room was at night. When she saw a letter placed on her desk, she picked it up and read the semi messy handwritten, James Potter. Stephanie placed it back on her desk and decided to just write in the morning, she turned off her light before sliding in her comforters.
