★--------"ARE YOU EXCITED FOR QUIDDITCH, I mean since you are co-captain this year." Alice asks as the four girls walk down the corridor. After the feast last night the girls turned in early because of the long train ride that left them extremely tired. Now they were heading to transfigurations which was their last class of the day.

Stephanie shrugged as they turned a corner, "Mostly, but I definitely think we have this year in the bag with Potter as the captain." The girls nodded.

"We also do have the best seeker." Lily nudges Stephanie making her smile, the girls aggressively nodding their head in agreement. The girls turned another corner when they saw a group of boys leaning against the wall, Stephanie could easily tell that it was her group of boys.

"Rose!" Stephanie grimaces as she hears his voice.

"Potter." Stephanie said montonely as they walked in front of them.

"Do you guys also have transfiguration?" Remus asked them, the girls nodded.

"Perfect! Let's walk together!" James claps, The three girls nodded in response but Stephanie just groans.

"So Evans, have you thought about joining the quidditch team yet? I'm sure we can boot someone off just for you." Lily shakes her head.

"It's still a no Potter, I truly have no interest in the sport." James frowned for a second before smiling again and bombarding her with more questions. It was different from the other times because Lily was giving him the time of day, actually answering each question even laughing at some of his jokes.

Stephanie watched them from the corner of her eyes and she could see that Lily was actually enjoying his presence now, she didn't look annoyed by his presence at all. Stephanie sighs as they finally walked into class, they all took the seats in the back.

"She doesn't look like she wants to kill him anymore." Remus whispers into her ear, he must've noticed the way that Stephanie kept eyeing the pair that were still talking.

"You look like a puppy that was kicked aside." She glared at Sirius who was sitting behind her with a random hufflepuff girl.

"Says the dog." She muttered quietly that only Remus and Sirius could hear. Remus bursted out laughing, Sirius started coughing, hitting Remus's arm slightly but stopped when they saw a cat walk down the aisle. Everyone quieted down, even James instantly stopped talking as they watched the cat walk down, the cat walked towards the front of the class before turning into professor Mcgonagoll.

"Good day everyone, It's great to see all your faces again." She smiled as she scanned the class.

"Even me, Minnie?" Sirius remarks, James started chuckling, earning a smack on the head from Lily.

Mcgonagoll rolled her eyes playfully before nodding along, "Even you, Black." Sirius threw up a thumbs up with a little smirk, she nodded in his direction before starting the class.

The class felt longer than it should've, Stephanie loved Mcgonagoll but the class was dreadful. The class ended and now the girls were heading outside to hangout and do some homework. As they walked down the corridor to make it outside, Stephanie saw a glance of black hair. Stephanie turned to look at Lily as she knew who it was.

"You guys go ahead, I'll catch up." Lily ran off to the direction the boy went, Stephanie sighs as the girls continue walking. Lily told Stephanie about her and Serevus friendship, they've been having problems ever since summer started. Stephanie never pushed on the subject since it seemed to be a sensitive topic for her.

She hasn't even noticed they've made it outside until a gust of wind hit her body making her shiver. Stephanie cursed as she should've taken Alice and Lily's advice on taking a scarf to keep her warm.

"Merlin, it feels like winter." Marlene winced as another gust of wind hit them, they walked to a tree stump and all placed their bags down. Stephanie took the sport against the tree, having her lean on it.

"Say that more and winter will actually be here." Alice chuckled as she pulled out some of her assignments out of her pull over bag. Stephanie followed quickly as she pulled out her one assignment that she had from herbology.

"So Steph, What's up with you and Smith?" Marlene asked, Stephanie stopped her quill against the paper making it bleed through the parchment.

"I don't know what you are talking about." Stephanie ignored their teasing stares as she kept writing.

"Okay then play dumb, but what about you and Potte-"

"Girls!" Stephanie jumped up from the voice, the ink smearing all over her parchment ruining whatever she just previously wrote.

"Blood hell, Potter!" She dropped her quil and stood up, crossing her arms over her body. James looked taken back by her sudden outburst, Sirius, Remus and Peter all watched in amusement as the scared boy backed away from the girl who looked like she was going to bite someone's head off.

"You know how long it's going to take for me to redo this assignment! This is due in two days and I barely got anything done!" She walked forward as James walked backwards, she pointed her finger at him as she continued walking forward.

"You Potter! Better have a good reason to be here right now or I swear I will rip your head off and hang it in front of the school so everyone can see." Her finger hit the center of his chest, James gulped as he saw the fire in her eyes. He now knew why her patronus was a Lioness, she was the perfectly embodiment of it. She looked like a Lion who was looking at their prey.

"I was going to ask if you've seen Evans." James heard the muffled laughter from his friends and the girls, he turned his head to glare at the boys before looking back at the girl in front of her. Her eyes flared with flames as she held out her hand squeezing it infront of her closing her eyes as she took a deep breath, James gulped once again fearing for his life.

Stephanie sighs, dropping her hand to her side and opening her eyes, James blinked as he realized that her eyes were back to her sweet brown eyes.

"I don't know where she is and I don't think she even wants to see you right now." Stephanie calmly says, she turned around to grab her bag and walked past him.

"Also Potter, you owe me more Honeydukes since you ruined my assignment." She turned around for a split second to look at him then turned back and walked back inside of the school. James smiled softly at the girl, he didn't know what it was about her but she was sparking something in his heart. But he would never be able to admit it to himself.
