Chapter 10 - Lazy day

Katy's POV

The next day I didn't wake until 1pm. I had wasted most of the day sleeping. I pulled myself out of bed and put on my spotty onesie. I walked downstairs, tripping over various things including my own feet. I went into the kitchen where Auntie Jenny stood making some toast. "I heard you coming downstairs so I put some toast on for you" she smiled. "Thanks" I muttered still half asleep. The toaster popped and Auntie Jenny started spreading Nutella on it. We walked into the dining room and we both sat down. I started eating my toast in silence.

"Sow how was last night?" Auntie Jenny asked eager to know. "Well we went to the cinema and watched Night at the museum 3 then we went to Nandos for tea" I simply explained. "So was it a date" she asked. I could feel my cheeks turn red. "Yeah" I sheepishly smiled. Auntie Jenny grinned at me. "Did he act like a gentleman?" she asked grinning at me. "Yeah, he wanted to pay for everything and he made me feel so special" I couldn't say this without grinning like an idiot. Auntie Jenny chuckled slightly at the idiotic grin in my face. "I'm glad you had fun" she smiled. I smiled back then went and put my dishes away before going back up to my room.

I decided that I wasn't going to really do anything today. I got changed into some high waisted dark blue jeans with a black fluffy jumper. I put my hair up into a messy bun and didn't even bother to put my blue extensions in. I decided that I would go with barely any makeup. I just put on some concealer and lip balm. Once I was ready, I decided that I should call Tia and tell her about my date with Leo. (K-Katy T-Tia)

T- Hey

K- Hey how are you?

T- I'm good thanks you?

K- Amazing

T- This is about that Leondre boy isn't it?

K- Yeah!

T- Oh my GAWD! Tell me all!

K- Well after you called me the other day we became a couple and last night we went on our first date!

T- That's amazing

K- I know right

T- Now, back to me. Have you seen any cute boys my age?

K- You are still the same old Tia

T- I know, now have you?

K- I've only had my eyes on one boy

T- Don't get all sentimental on me

K- Sorry

T- Look I should go because I'm shopping at the moment but call you later, love you bye

K- Love you bye

After our phone call ended I went downstairs. Auntie Jenny and Uncle James were sat on the sofa watching tv. "Hey kiddo" Uncle James greeted me. "Hey" I replied as I sat down on the other sofa. I sat and watched the tv for a bit until I got bored. "I'm going to go get an ice cream from the ice cream parlour" I told them. "Okay," Auntie Jenny simply replied. With that I got some money and put it in my pocket then went down to the ice cream parlour.

I loved the ice cream parlour. I have so many memories of it from when I used to come and visit Nan, Grandpa and Auntie Jenny. We would always go to the ice cream parlour and get ice creams. I missed Nan and Grandpa. Nan passed on about five years ago from a heart attack and Grandpa passed on last year from natural causes. I was glad that they could both finally be together again but that didn't stop me from missing them loads. Once I got my ice cream, I decided to go for walk. I walked for about an hour before I went home.

I sat up in my room watching Marry Poppins. Honestly, no matter how old I get I will always love that movie. When it ended I turned my tv off and sat in silence while I checked my social medias. My phone started ringing so I answered. "Hello" I spoke into my phone. I listened closely to the voice on the other end of the phone. I got up off my bed and stood in the middle of my bedroom. When the voice finished talking I just stood there not knowing what to say. Suddenly I felt a wave of anger wash over me. I threw my phone at my bedroom wall and watched it shatter. My knees went weak and I fell onto the floor in tears. That was the phone call that would change my life forever.
