Chapter 14 - Girl World

Katy's POV
I woke up the next morning to my alarm. I sat up and turned it off. I turned to look at Leo, who was still asleep.
"Leo" I whispered while shaking him gently. His eyelids slowly opened to reveal his gorgeous brown eyes.
"Huh?" he groaned while rolling over.
"Get up you need to get ready for school!" I smiled.

I then went into the bathroom and started brushing my teeth. I splashed my face with cold water to try and wake myself up more. I then went and sat in front of the mirror and started doing my make up like how I always do it. I then curled my jet black hair before putting in my blue extensions. I then got dressed into my boring school uniform. When I went back into my bedroom Leo was ready.

We slowly walked to school together and just enjoyed spending time just the two of us. When we got to school he went off to his friends and I went off to mine.

School dragged like always. When break came I was so relieved. I needed to go to the toilet so I told Hailey that I would meet her and the others in the cafeteria. I then went to the toilets. I was just washing my hands when the queen bitches walked in.
"How are you skank?" Millie scowled while they all surrounded me.
"You know we don't even care," Ellen told me.
"Do you mind?" I asked.
"Actually we fucking do mind!" Tamzin shouted. "You're an Irish man stealing whore and it's time someone taught you a lesson!" With that Jasmine punched me so hard that me head smacked against the mirror. Tamzin then shoved me so hard that I fell to the ground with a bang.
"I'll give you one last chance," she warned. "Break up with Leo!" With that they all walked away.

I pulled out my makeup bag and tried to conceal the bruises with my shaky hands. In the movie Mean Girls, Cady always talks about how in "girl world" all the girls fight dirty and sneaky. This definitely was not "girl world". I had dealt with a lot of bullies and bitchy girls in my time but none like this. I actually I think that I may have been scared of Tamzin. All of the other girls I had come across just called me names, but she called me names and hit me. She had become the "queen" of our year through terror. But oh how I knew that I wanted her reign to come to an end.

"What took you so long?" Hailey asked when I finally sat down with them.
"There was a queue," I lied.
"Why is there a bruise on your face?" Lola questioned.
"And why are your eyes red and puffy?" Izzy inquired.
"Have you been crying?" Regina gasped.
"What is this 21 questions?" I laughed.
"Katy?" Georgina stared at me.
"Okay so I ran into queen bitches" I shrugged.
"And they hit you?" Lola exclaimed.
"It's fine it didn't hurt!" I reassured them.
"Those fucking bitches!" Izzy shouted.
"They are not getting away with this!" Hailey exclaimed.

Leo's POV
When I met Katy at the end of the day she seemed on edge.
"Are you okay?" I asked concerned.
"I'm fine!" she snapped. I didn't bother saying anything else. I took her hand and she kinda jumped as I touched.
"Katy?" I asked. We were nearly home by this point. She stopped in her tracks.
"Don't fucking touch me!" she screamed. "Get away!" She stood stock still.
"Katy?" I whispered. She wasn't looking at me. She hadn't been looking at me. Her breathing was quickening and tears were streaming down her face. I led her across the road to where there was a bench and sat her down. She just couldn't stop breathing quickly. I think that she was having a panic attack. After about ten minutes of me sitting and hugging her, she finally spoke.
"I should have screamed," she whispered. I was confused as to what she was talking about.
"What are you talking about?" I asked quietly.
"It doesn't matter," she whispered while standing up. "Let's get home,"

By the time I got home I was so confused as to what had just happened. It was so weird. It was so unlike Katy.

Katy's POV
I watched as the blade sliced through my wrist. I had been clean since I got here but I had to. I deserved it. And this pain distracted from the one I felt inside. Because it was my fault. I was stupid. Tears streamed down my cheeks. My face was wet from crying. I thought that I was finally over it. But it never will be. It will haunt me until the day I die. It will still haunt me through death.
