Promise

Levi's POV

As soon as I hear the lightning, I knew there was something wrong. A Titan can't appear at night! How come all of a sudden, a Titan shifter appears and is moving completely fine!

Sora flinches and her eyes widen. "No... Why now....?"

I grunt and pick up Sora who seems very shocked and confused. I quickly take her inside and bring her to the room we were staying in.

I set her on the bed and she looks at me with concerned eyes. "Are you going out there...?"

I nod. "I have to. I have to find out who this titan is. I can't let it roam around."

She looks down. "Okay.... Promise me you will come back okay."

I smile and pat her head. "When do I ever break a promise?"

She smiles and hugs me. "Okay. It's a promise."

I get my gear ready as well as most of the scouts. They all have the same questions I do.

Who is that Titan, and how can it appear at night?

"Levi! You are coming with me." Hanji says. I nod and come with her to the horse stables. I set up my horse and Hanji does the same.

"Do you think we will find out?" Hanji asks me.

"Hm?"

"Who'll be in that Titan? Someone we know, or someone we don't. Will we even survive this? It's midnight. We can't see much and the only guide we have is the moon..."

"Oi. Don't lose hope yet Four Eyes. I thought you would be jumping for joy because there was a Titan."

"I am but not as much as I want to."

As we jump onto our horses, along with the rest of the Scouts, Hanji yells, "our one objective is to find out who is inside that Titan! It was the same one who destroyed Levi and Sora's home. We must find out who is is, while sparing everyone lives."

A large roar is heard and Hanji nods at herself. "Scouts Moveout!"

We get closer and closer to the titan. But; it seems to be standing there. Waiting for something. It is a 10m Titan in a small wooded area. We can use our 3dmg perfectly fine.

When most people jump off their horses and disappears into the trees, I do the same and hook onto the tree closest to its back.

As a bunch of soldiers jump and attach to its skin, the skin where it was hit was suddenly turned to crystal. My eyes widen. It's just like the Female Titan.

It isn't moving at all except for its large head. It seems to be looking for something still. When I hook up to a higher tree that is the closest to his head, it suddenly turns around and looks into my eyes.

Without moving, I quietly take out my blades, but Titan doesn't seem to hesitate. Something... Is... What is this?

It still states at me as if it is trying to tell me something. Suddenly it's mouth starts moving. "K...i...l...l..."

What?! How is this happening!? I heard stories but, I titan doesn't ever speak. Only if it practices or...

"Kill... Levi....And.... Sora.... Ackerman..."

Wha? Kill me...? No... No...

"Hahahahaha!" I hear a sinister laugh from nearby. When I spot who it was, my eyes widen. Erwin, on the Titans shoulder?!

"Hello there Levi. How have you been?"

I don't speak a word. I'm too dumbfounded...

"Let me just cut to the chase. This Titan here, is someone you know a love dearly."

What? I know and love dearly?

"Someone you have, lost, recently."

My eyes widen and am close to falling. No... No it can't be...

As I stood there motionless, the Titan picks me up with its hand, and lifts it up. As I am in the air, I cant move or do anything...

"Levi!!! Get ahold of yourself !!!"

I can't do anything... I can't kill him... I can't kill my own son...

Then, the Titan begins to close its hand tighter, as if to squeeze me. The pressure on my body gets heavier and heavier. I can feel bones crack and blood seep out of my mouth... Then, the Titan lets me go.

The pain is unbearable. If I hit the ground. I know I will die...

"Levi!!" Hanji shouts. She gets directly under me and catches me. My head hangs back a and I am extremely dazed. I can't feel like I am dying, but... I can't break the promise to Sora... But... I will be coming back, half dead...
