So Suddenly

(Warning, a lot of events will happen in this chapter and POV switchings! It might get confusing 😰 bare with me! )

Jordan's POV

After maybe 3 hours, I finally decided to eat something... I haven't ate in maybe 4 days. I stayed by my mothers side since she got there maybe 2 weeks ago. My father and the rest of the Scouts decided to go for a training mission. Father told me to take it easy and get some rest. After I eat, I will go to sleep.

But suddenly.....

Levi's POV

As Hanji, and Eren are doing some combat practice I can smell something off in the distance. We are in a large clearing maybe 30 minutes away from the HQ. But, I can sense something wrong... Something is off... I can't tell what...

"Commander!!!" I hear a voice scream maybe a few feet away from us. Hanji immediately stops from practicing with Eren and runs over to the cadet. "Explosion in the distance! It's near HQ!"

My heart drops and thoughts go rushing though my mind. What if the infirmary was hit!? What if Jordan was inside where he explosion was? What if Sora was...

"Everyone! Immediately back to HQ!" Hanji yells to get my mind off of the bad things... I can't think straight at the moment. Everyone is panicked and I am the first one to jump on my horse and gallop off.

As I ride and get closer and closer, I begin to get much more panicked. The smoke came from the infirmary area... That's where Sora and Jordan are...

Jordan's POV
The sudden blast knocked me off my feet and I slammed into the nearest wall. The ceiling of the building collapsed and harsh sunlight beams into the holes.

My back is sore but I can get up. I have to find Ma!

I dash though the rubble and ruins of the once to be infirmary building , frantically looking for Ma. The room she was in is in ruins now. But, as I dug and dug, I couldn't find her. Maybe she got out safely? No... She can't all of a sudden wake up. It's impossible!

I scream her name. "Ma!!!! Ma!!!! Where are you!?" I scream countless times. "Ma!!!!" I am out of breath. "Ma!!!!!" Nothing is heard... I can't... I don't want for her to...

"Oi! Ackerman!" I hear a distant voice say. I thought it was Hanji or someone else, but to my surprise, I see a shadow in the distance. It looks like it is holding someone in its grasp.

When I get closer, I instantly stop in my tracks and almost fall to my knees. Lukas... Holding a knife up to Sora's neck. Her eyes are open but... She looks terrified. She looks like she can't bare the pain and suffering she has now and just... She looks... Sad...

"Lukas... L-let my mother go!!" I scream. He chuckles and then bursts out laughing.

"Yeah right! After what she did to my mother? Does she really deserve to live?"

I'm speechless. I can't tell him that my mother is his because... He won't believe me... But if I don't... Ma will get killed! What... Can I do? What is there for me to do? Run? Scream? That isn't something a Scout would do! That isn't something father or Ma would do neither...

They told me so many stories about how much times their lives have been at risk because of their decisions. Should I do that too?

"Lukas! Please! Don't do this!"

"How do you even know my name? I don't even know you! All I know is that your Sora's precious little son. I couldn't care less about that scumbag Levi. All I want is to kill Sora!"

He slowly brings the knife closer to Sora's neck. It touches her skin and is beginning to slice through the skin. She is screaming for mercy.

"Don't kill your own-"

Lukas stops. I stop. A sound rings in my ears. My whole body suddenly hurts. The next thing I know, is that I'm on the ground, laying there. Facing my mothers terrified face. Lukas throws her down, and she hits the ground next to me.

I can see blood... Not my mothers... but mine? I can't figure out what happened... Until I spot someone above me.

"Good diversion son. Now we can make her suffer even more after this runt dies."

"thank you father."

I can't hear anything else but the screams of my mother. It is faint but...

"Ma... please... Don't cry... I love... You"

Then in a sudden flash of events, another ring fires through the air. Then my body feels light as if... I can't feel anything anymore... As if I'm not even there... Is this what dying feels like?

Levi's POV

We finally get to the torn down infirmary. I jump off my horse and dash inside to where Sora should normally be.

But I stop in my tracks as soon as I see... Sora... Jordan... No... No no...

Sora is crying over a body. That body is... Jordan...

I run over and kneel down. "No! Jordan!! Please don't die!!"

"He's... He's already..."

I hate to face the truth at the worst times... But Jordan is... His eyes are open. Blood drips out of the corner of his mouth, and blood pools around his abdomen. His eyes are grey... He has been shot...

"Please..." I plead. "You promised me..."

A white light appears before me and Sora. It is Jordan's spirit.

"Please don't cry Ma. Dad. I love you guys. Don't forget that..."

Then, as if a miracle happened, he disappeared and his limp body, has a happy expression. He is smiling...
