Sora's POV

It has been a few years since I have joined the Scouts. I had to go through vigorous training and hell for the past few years by I was worth it. I have been placed on the Special Operations Squad with Levi and his team recently. I'm extremely proud and thankful to be on this squad. The people however, have been treating me, sort of unfairly...

Myself, Eld, Oulo, Gunter, Petra and Levi have been working on hand to hand combat one day, and that day was one of the worst. Levi wanted to reevaluate my skills. We have gone on many expeditions, killing titans, by nothing major happened. After a while, Levi had asked me to 'brush up on' my skills. Therefore, here I am, proving my skills.

We are in the back of HQ. I'm paired up with Gunter first. As I slowly raise my fists to block my face, Gunter instantly goes for the attack. I swiftly dodge his attack. He attempted to punch me in the face, but I dodged it by raising my arm up, and letting his fist connect with my rock hard arm. Then, I grab his arm, and throw him to the side as quick as I could, then, I pined him down.

Gunter's eyes are widened and surprised. He immediately stands and wipes his pants off. He pouts and walks over to Levi and seemed to whisper something. Next was Eld. Same case scenario as I had with Gunter. He didn't try the same thing, however, his style was very similar. He attempted to quickly trip and and them pin me like that, but I reflected his attack and did the exact same thing.

Oulo and Petra didn't even want to try. Oulo scowled at me with a mean looking expression like no one has ever beat them before. "Are you some super monster or somethin?" Oulo asks me.

"Huh?" I question. Petra elbows Oulo in his side and then he accidentally chomps on his tongue. He growls at me.

"No one has ever beat us in training. No one! I think you are  a major show off! And you don't deserve to be on this squad!"

Petra elbows him again. "Oulo! Why are you being so rude?!"

"She deserves it. Come on. She is just a show off who wants Levi's attention just because her kid was stripped away from her!"

My heart drops to the pit of my stomach. Why would he... Why would he... I can barely keep my tears in. It is too much for me to handle. Tears begin to flow out of my eyes. I stand there speechless. Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Levi storming over to Oulo. "What the **** is wrong with you!?"

"Ah! Heichou? Wh-," he is interrupted by Levis growl.

"You never joke about something like that! Ever! You understand! Now, I don't want to see you for the rest of the day. Run 200 laps and if I end up seeing you, it will be cleaning the horse stables!"

"But..."

"Now!!" Levi screams. Oulo grunts and runs to begin his laps. Gunter, Eld, and Petra look at me with a worried look. "Hey... I'm sorry about what that fool said," Petra says. Gunter and Eld pat my shoulders and look at Levi who is still fuming.

"You guys are dismissed. I don't give a crap what you do for the rest of the day," Levi sighs, "I would like to speak to Sora alone."

The squad nods and salutes before walking away. I'm still standing there, attempting to control my feelings, but with no success. I eventually fall to my knees and sob on the ground. I feel so vulnerable to the world right now... As if, I'm ready to die any moment from now.

I can feel hands on my shoulders. I didn't care who it was at this point... I grabbed the person and hugged them. I cried... I yelled and cried... I couldn't hold back any longer... I let the tears pour out and I hold this person tight as if I'm fearing something. I am fearing something...

I fear, that since I have never recovered from this horror, the horror that took my future away, I may never be able to survive...

"Don't worry Sora," the person whispers in my ear. It's Levi... "I will protect you. I swear on everything. After seeing you suffer for the 3 years you have been here, I can't bare it any longer. I will be here. I will stay by your side. I'll be the one for you."
