(Original Chapter. Listening Suggestion: I Choose You - Alessia Cara)
Third Person POV
One full week had gone by. The gang was back home and Berk was at peace. Things were calm and as quiet as they could be for the island village. However, there was one person who seemed to disappear every day. Nobody knew where she was running off to and it was starting to raise people's suspicions.
Hiccup had been trying to catch her every day, but she was always one step ahead of him. Even if he waited up all night, she still managed to slip by him (mostly because he couldn't actually stay up all night). Her brothers had been trying to catch her too, at first. But then they had started doing a bunch of work and not telling anybody what it was for. Everyone was pretty convinced that they were now in on whatever their sister was up to.
They would bring lumber and supplies to a secret drop spot (which Hiccup had barely managed to track down), but the next day all of the supplies would be gone. Whatever was going on, (Y/n) was taking extreme caution as to not have anybody find out what she was doing or where she was doing it. It was getting exhausting trying to find out what was going on. Hiccup finally gave in and asked his father for advice on what to do.
"She's up to something, but I have no idea how to find out what it is!" He huffed.
"Son, have you tried asking her?" Hiccup paused.
"Uh..." Stoick sighed heavily.
"Well, my job here is done then."
"But she's never around to ask!" Hiccup countered.
"When she's ready, she will be. Just be patient, Hiccup." Hiccup sighed, but said no more as he simply accepted his father's answer and went on his way.
As Hiccup went back to his house, he kept wondering what she could possibly be doing. A bunch of theories had come to mind, but none of them made much sense once he thought about them for a bit. It really was a mystery.
He walked inside and headed up to his room, thinking that some sleep might help take his mind off of it. As he walked inside and Toothless went over to curl up on his stone, he saw a letter on his desk. Interested, he walked over and opened it. Toothless raised his head in curiosity. Hiccup opened it and read it out loud.
"Meet me at the cove an hour after sunset. I'll be waiting for you with the surprise ready. Make sure to wear something nice." It wasn't signed, but Hiccup could never mistake this person's handwriting. He knew exactly who it was and he also knew that there was no way he was getting any sleep now.
Your POV
You had worked on it for a week with your brothers helping you get the materials you needed, but you hadn't allowed anybody to come with you to its location. You wanted this to be a special place. A place that was only meant for the two of you. And that's exactly what it was going to be.
It was nearly sunset. You sent Nightshade to go wait at the cove so she could bring Hiccup and Toothless to you. You began to get ready, putting on the new dress you had made. You hoped that he would like it. You were a bit nervous, but you knew that it would be okay.
Soon enough, you heard Nightshade return. You smiled as she came in, leading the two of them to you. You had butterflies in your stomach, but you smiled as soon as you saw him looking around in wonder. You chuckled lightly.
"Impressed, Hiccup?"
Hiccup's POV
Toothless and I arrived at the cove right on time. Nightshade was there waiting for us, but (Y/n) wasn't. She barked, taking off and beginning to lead the way. I looked at Toothless and he looked as confused and curious as I was.
