You followed after Hiccup as you went to go find a certain Hunter ship that had been very elusive lately. Nightshade was excited about the mission. She loved night missions. You couldn't blame her. You did like flying at night. Well, if you'd gotten enough sleep during the day, that is.

"Okay, gang! Stay with your teammate and lock down your specific island. This dragon hunter is sneaky." Hiccup gave the rundown again as you all came closer to the island.

"He comes in, transfers his cargo, and slips out under the cover of darkness. Very mysterious." Fishlegs added.

"Very boring. Can we get to it?" Snotlout asked. You sighed heavily, but you all split into your groups. You were tagging along with Heather and Fishlegs.

"You know, Fishlegs, you'll always have Hiccup, Heather, and I to listen to you." You told him. He smiled.

"Thank you, (Y/n). At least somebody can appreciate it." You and Heather chuckled as you all kept flying together. 

It wasn't long until you saw Stormfly's distress signal. You all looked at each other, before hurrying toward it. You saw them around one of the ships. You dove in and stopped next to Arrow. 

"They have an egg! We need to get it!" He explained. You nodded. You saw them load the catapult with the egg.

"Egg incoming!" You called.

"Get ready to move, guys!" Arrow yelled. They fired the egg and you all hurried to get it.

"We got it! We got it!"

"We got it!" Ruff and Tuff yelled, hurrying over.

"Back off, Twidiots. It's mine!" Snotlout shouted. 

"Back off, Snotlout!" Ruff yelled back. They collided and Meatlug hit it with her tail. Stormfly did the same, sending it toward Heather.

"Heather!" Arrow called.

"Got it!" She tried to catch it, but it rolled off Windshear's tail. "Huh! No!" It fell off the cliff, but Hiccup caught it.

"Well, that was fun. Hey, I've got an idea, how about we get this back to the Edge, safely." He flew over to you and gave you the egg. Hiccup trusted you with it because you had amazing balance, even without holding onto the saddle. 

With that, you all headed back to Dragon's Edge. You flew beside Hiccup, holding the egg carefully so it wouldn't slip or shake from Nightshade's wing flaps. You saw Hiccup looking over at you. He smiled before continuing on, trusting that you would take good care of the egg.

*The next day*

"It's definitely not a Changewing." Hiccup explained, looking through his notes on dragon eggs.

"Thank Thor," Fishlegs said, relieved.

"And it's not the type of any of our dragons," Hiccup added.

"Oh, can you imagine Meatlug with her very own egg? It would be so cute. Aww~!"

"I don't think it's in here, Fishlegs." You shrugged at the statement.

"Well, who knows? Maybe it's a new dragon. Or maybe it could be..." You paused. 

"What?" Hiccup asked.

"Well...I know you said it's none of our dragons, but...Hiccup...we've never seen what a Night Fury egg even looks like." He paused, looking at the egg. He frowned.

"While I would like to believe that, (Y/n), I don't think it's a Night Fury egg." Toothless whined. "Yeah, I know, bud. Wouldn't that be somethin'."
