The Preliminaries

Third person pov

'Sasuke Uchiha vs Ayame Hatake', the board said. Everyone got upstairs besides those two. They stood in front of each other, just staring.

Kakashi first told Sasuke he mustn't use his curse mark, before heading yo Ayame to tell her the same.

Only Ayame didn't know what her dad had told Sasuke, so she was a bit scared.

If he's going to use his Sharingan, I'm screwed! she thought.

The proctor told them to start, and the fight began. Ayame was surprised that Sasuke wasn't using his Sharingan.

Kazuo's pov

I looked down at the fight. They both weren't using their Sharingan and when I looked at my sensei, I saw he was standing next to a woman with light blue hair in a high ponytail from the hidden Mist village.

He was looking nervously at the fight, just like Kakashi-sensei. Kazuki was cheering for Ayame, while Sakura was also looking at Sasuke nervously.

I turned towards her. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing!" she replied hastily.

"There's definitely something wrong." I murmured. "With you or with Sasuke."

She sighed. "Is it that obvious?" she asked.

I nodded. "What is it?" I asked her. I truly cared for her, we're friends.

"It's Sasuke..." she murmured. "But I can't tell you. I promised I wouldn't tell anyone."

Naruto started cheering for Sasuke. His and Kazuki's cheering was giving me a headache. I looked back at the fight. I saw that Sasuke hit Ayame with his foot and appeared underneath her.

Ayame got hit in her stomach and fell onto the ground. "COME ON!" Kazuki yelled. "DON'T GIVE UP JUST YET!"

"WELL DONE SASUKE!" Naruto and Sakura yelled.

Ayame stood up and hit Sasuke as soon as he hit the ground. She kicked him in the air and kicked him against the wall.

Suddenly, she grabbed her neck. It looked like she was feeling a lot of pain. Suddenly, black flames appeared and started crawling all over her face. After a while they disappeared, but I still was very worried.

I saw the same was happening to Sasuke. I glanced at Sakura, who was looking very worried as well. I exected Kakashi-sensei to be worried as well, so I wasn't surprised when I saw him looking worried.

Tenzou-sensei and Kazuki looked worried too. I turned my head towards the fight and heard that Ayame. She looked exhausted, but she was able to stand up, unlike Sasuke, who wasn't able to move at all. Kakashi-sensei took the two of them somewhere, to the protests off the nurses.

Ayame's pov

I followed my dad downstairs while covering up the curse mark with my hand. He was carrying Sasuke on his shoulder.

First he sealed my curse mark. It hurt like hell, but I tried to ignore it. But I screamed out in pain anyway, while Sasuke was awake. When the sealing was done, I got unconcious out of exhaustion. "I won, Emo Ducky." I murmured before fainting.

Kazuki's pov

I looked at the board. After Ayame, Sasuke and Kakashi-sensei left, Kazuo had to fight a ninja from the Sound village. He evantually won, even though his opponent could steal someone's chakra.

Next up were some other fights, like Ino vs Sakura and Gaara vs Rock Lee. Now my name stood on the board: Kazuki Hayashi vs Yuri Kawaguchi.

I walked downstairs and looked at my opponent. She was a pretty girl with long blonde hair and green eyes from the hidden Mist village. Her hair reminded me of a beach and her eyes reminded me of the sea. "Too bad I have to fight such a pretty girl..." I muttered.

Yuri sweat dropped. "You're weird, you know that?"

I sighed. It was a compliment!

As soon as the proctor said start, Yuri attacked me with kunai and water style jutsu's.

"Kazuki." Kazuo said to me in my mind. "Use your earth style to attack her, you'll have the advantage!"

I nodded. "All right then." I replied. "I'll do like you said, brother."

I made the required handsigns. "Earth style, Earth Pillars!" I yelled and pillars came out from the floor.

Third person pov

Tenzou looked at the fight with Kazuki. When he saw Kazuo using an earthstyle jutsu, he looked to his left and saw the woman looking confidentiality. Her name was Youko, she used to be an ANBU member in the hidden Mist village, but now she was leading a genin team.

"Youko." Tenzou said. "Do you think your student is going to win against mine?"

She shrugged. "It's still possible, even though water is weak against earth."

Tenzou knew where she was talking about. Kazuki could act like an idiot and this fight wasn't over yet.

Before they knew it, they saw Kazuki laying on the floor, while Yuri just stood in front of him.

Youko chuckled. "She used that jutsu." she said with a smile on her face. "No one can resist that jutsu, at least no man."

Tenzou looked a bit embarrassed. He knew what jutsu she was talking about, he got knocked out by it once, and he didn't want to be reminded about it.

"What happened?" Kazuo asked. Even he couldn't understand why Kazuki was knocked out while he had the advantage.
