The next few days went by fast. With the whole day spent mostly studying, I didn't have time for anything else. It was a good distraction from how lonely I was starting to feel. Harry seemed to be preoccupied with Ron and Hermione all the time. Cedric spent a lot of time with Cho Chang from Ravenclaw. At first, I thought I'd be jealous, but surprisingly I wasn't. But what did hurt me was the amount of time Alethea was spending with Malfoy. Something about it just put me off. I definitely wasn't jealous, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

I confronted Alethea about it one day. "Alethea, you're my friend, and now I barely even see you at all." Her electric blue eyes softened. "You're right I wasn't being a good friend. But give me a second chance. How about we go to Hogsmead one day, and just have fun?" I slightly smiled at the idea. "Okay, fine." She smiled but was then pulled back by Malfoy. She giggled and went after him. I looked away, my gut feeling wrenched. Why did I care? I thought to myself.

I grabbed Alethea by the hand and motioned her to follow me. She giggled and held my hand. I looked back towards Y/N, watching her look away. Maybe now she'd feel what I felt when I saw her and Diggory together.

Y/N's POV

The day had come. Today Dumbledore would announce the champions. A handsome boy from Durmstrang had chosen to sit next to me. He had a dimpled smile with green and gold eyes. His brown hair looked soft. (Kinda looks like Harry Styles;) He smiled at me and I smiled back. The first name came out. "Victor Krum!" Krum stood up and went into the back room. "Fleur Delacour." The pretty girl I saw before stood up and went too. I held my breath. "Cedric Diggory." I sighed, holding my head in my hands. Cheers went up and Cedric was beaming. He looked to me and gave me an apologetic smile. I sternly looked back. The boy next to me introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Levin." I shook his hand, "I'm Y/N." We were interrupted when the Goblet of Fire once again erupted. "Harry Potter." My blood turned cold. I fainted just as I saw Levin grab me and hold me secure. ( I know she faints a lot but I promise it'll get better lol, I didn't realize she does it every other chapter but i promise it gets better)

I woke up in the hospital wing. Levin was sitting to my right on the bed, holding my hand, worry in his eyes. "Are you better?" He asked. I gave a small smile and nodded. I heard commotion outside the curtains and heard someone say "No, let me see her!" The curtains violently opened to reveal a flustered Draco Malfoy. He didn't notice Levin. He walked to my left, holding my hand with one of his, and the other on my forehead, as if checking for a temperature.

His gray eyes reflected worry. "Are you okay?" I nodded and smiled. My eyes flicked to Levin, and that's when he noticed. He looked coldly at our intertwined hands. He quickly let go. "Looks like you don't need me right now." He spat. "Malfoy!" I called out but he simply walked out. Frustrated, I shut my eyes and took a deep breath. "Don't mind him." I smiled. I looked back to Levin, sighing, started a conversation. He was really sweet and funny to talk to. Before I slept, he even sang me a lullaby. He had the voice of an angel.

I woke up to the warm sunlight. I looked up to see Malfoy snoring on a chair beside my bed. I shifted in my bed, and he awoke. He made his way to sit on the bed. I looked away. "H-how are you?" He said, in his gruff morning voice. I refused to talk to him. "I'm not talking to you unless you apologize." I said softly. He stood up. "Apologize?! What for?" I looked sternly into his eyes. He waved his arms. "I'm not apologizing!" I nodded, not breaking eye contact, and then looked away, completely ignoring him. I would not give in to his massive ego. He threw open the curtains and left.

Right after he left, Harry came in. I sat up straighter." Oh, Harry I am so sorry!" I said holding both his hands. He came in for a sideways hug, letting me rest my head on his chest. "The tournament...will you be okay?" I asked. He softly nodded. "Yes."

That day was a Saturday, so after I was excused from the Hospital Wing, I spent my time sitting with my back to a tree facing the Black Lake. Soon later I was joined by Levin, who brought a guitar. I rested my head on his shoulder as he played and sang. I had my eyes closed when Levin paused. "Malfoy's coming over here." I didn't open my eyes. "Okay, let him come." Levin continued to play. Someone cleared their throat. I still didn't open my eyes. Malfoy knew what I was expecting.

"Ahem. U-um, Y/N?" He asked. I finally opened my eyes. "Yes?" I questioned. "I wanted to talk to you." He said. I sighed and stood up. I turned to Levin. "I'll see you at dinner Levin?" I said. He smiled, gosh his dimples were so cute, I couldn't help but smile too. By instinct, I grabbed Malfoy's hand before walking with him, as I did with Cedric, Harry, and mostly everyone. He was taken back by the sudden grasp and flinched his hand. I dropped it, I guess someone was a little touchy. But the next thing I knew, he grabbed it and interlaced his fingers with mine. I suppressed my smile, I had to stay mad at him.

We walked in silence. "Well, were you going to say something?" I asked, finally breaking the tension. He stopped and looked at me, grabbing my other hand too. "I-I'm sorry." I smirked leaning in. "Wait, I couldn't hear that, can you say it again." I teased. "I'm sorry." he repeated. I pulled my head back and laughed. "Malfoy, it takes you SO much effort to apologize?" He gave a small smile. "It's not something I'm used to...Thank you for giving me a second chance" He said. I slowly ceased laughing, looking into his silver eyes. "Of course." I whispered. His eyes reflected the lake, making them mesmerizing. I realized we were just staring at each other. I cleared my throat and let go of his hands. "Right, I should go." I said. He nodded. "Me too, I think Alethea's waiting for me in the common room." I felt a pang in my chest but put up a fake smile.
