The knife wound would've been bad if Snape hadn't helped.

After the pain didn't subside for three days, Snape came into the picture. He quickly brewed a potion of some sort and even made an ointment. After he stood by my bed to make sure I had drunk all the contents of the potion, he turned to leave. "Why did you do it?" I asked. He stopped in his tracks. "Why did you kill him?" I clarified. He turned around. "Dumbledore trusted you." I told him. He looked me straight in the eye. "I did everything for that trust." Then he turned on his heel and left, his black robes fluttering behind him.

I also had gotten a letter from my parents. I had realized it had been so long since I had heard from them. They told me they were in hiding. After figuring out Voldemort's plans far back in my fifth year, they had been on the run. It was nice to know they were at least safe.

Simply after 12 hours of taking the potion, I felt a whole lot better, with the wound being gone. The next day I woke up with it completely healed. I went down the stairs then noticed that Voldemort was already here, addressing everyone. "Tomorrow, the war begins." He said, then apparated.

My breath hitched. The war? Like the war? I ran back upstairs, frantically packing everything I needed. I was going back to Hogwarts. I was going back home.

---

I linked my arm with Draco's as we apparated. We couldn't apparate straight inside Hogwarts, so we did so in front of the bridge. I looked back to see hordes creatures and death eaters behind me. I gulped. I moved forward planning on walking on the bridge to get to Hogwarts. Draco grabbed my hand before I could step on. He moved his wand, his mother's as Harry had Draco's, against the air between bridge and ground. It sizzled, revealing a forcefield.

I was both proud and frustrated at this. Proud because it would really help protect the school from the opposing forces but frustrated because it would protect the school from all forces, opposing or not. I saw two people walk up to us on the bridge. "Neville?" I asked. It indeed was Neville.

"Y/N? W-what are you doing on that side?" He asked. "Oh, believe me, I've been asking myself the same question. But it's not what it looks like, I'm on your side! So, do you think you can...I don't know lift up the barrier so I can run through. Neville's eyes flickered behind me. "I-I don't think I can do that." I huffed. I leaned into whisper, "Is there any other way I can get in." He leaned in as well. "There's a path through Hogsmead, but I don't think you can get there without getting caught." I crossed my arms, "I-" That's when the earth trembled. "What was that?" I asked.

Neville looked at the forcefield. "They're attacking the shield." He said in disbelief. The earth trembled once more. "It's gonna break, you'll have to run for it." He quickly said, stepping back. Draco grabbed my hand. "Once you're inside, you can apparate within!" Neville hinted. One more tremble and the shield broke like glass.

We made our move, running through. We were faster than the hordes behind us as we had the advantage of knowing it was going to break. Neville, running up ahead, looked back and shot a spell. I heard a crunch sound behind me, the bridge was starting to break. I felt the wood under my feet become less sturdy. I ran faster, knowing one misstep could lead to my death.

Just barely we jumped onto firm land. But we couldn't stop running. Draco squeezed my hand, and before I could ask why, he apparated us. I caught my breath as did he. "Why-" He looked at the students leaving, grabbing two of them. Blaise and Goyle. Draco motioned for us to follow him. I didn't know what he was doing, but I decided to stick with him. We entered the...room of requirement? Draco pointed his wand at someone.

"Well well, what brings you here Potter?" Draco said. My eyes lightened. I ran up to Harry, engulfing him in a hug. "You have something of mine, I'd like it back." Draco seethed. I realized he was talking about his wand. "What's wrong with yours?" Harry replied. "It's powerful. But it's not the same, doesn't quite understand me." Draco said.

"Kill him Draco, don't be a wuss." Goyle whispered in Draco's year. "Stop all of you!" I said. Goyle hit a spell at Hermione. She ducked, but Ron became enraged and chased after him. "That's my girlfriend you git!" He disappeared in an aisle. 3 seconds passed and he came back running. "AHHHHHH!" He screamed, grabbing Hermione's hand and running. I looked at what he was running from. Goyle had set off fiendfyre. My eyes widened as Draco launched forward and grabbed my hand. He guided me through the aisles. I could feel Blaise and Goyle behind me.

One more turn and... oh no. We had reached a dead end. "Climb!" Draco instructed. I did so, right behind him. The tower we were climbing was unstable. The thought of falling crossed my mind but I pushed it away. I heard a scream and looked down to see Goyle about to fall but holding on to Blaise. Blaise tried pushing him off, but his hand slipped. They both fell into the fyre.

I clenched my eyes and took a breath. I had to keep climbing. At the top, Draco helped me stand up on the table. I gripped his hand. "We're gonna die." I whispered. "I won't let that happen." He replied.

And it was at that moment where everything clicked. The fyre burned around us. His gray eyes reflecting the flames, flitted across the room, desperately searching for a way out. We were both panting and sweaty. His hair was messed up. Yet everything clicked. I knew that I would love no one else in this world as much as I loved this man standing in front of me. And if today was the day I was going to die, I would die happy. For the purpose of this world is to find something you love, whether it be a job, or a person, or a passion. I was glad to have found mine.

I was snapped out of my trance as I saw something whizz past me. It was the trio on a broom. Draco and I held out our hands. I felt Ron take a hold of mine as I positioned myself behind him on the broom. I saw Harry to the right of me, with Draco riding on the back. We zipped forward. Harry dropped a crown shaped thing into the fire. As we left the room, a breath of fresh air entered my lungs. I got off the broom and looked behind me. The room became engulfed in flames, about to reach out, when Harry closed the door with a bang.
