Sorry, this is a short chapter I'll try and post the next one soon!
I awoke the day with the sun shining softly on my face. I rubbed my eyes as I got up. Madam Pomfrey smiled, handing me a bar of chocolate and off on my way. I stopped by my dorm to shower and change my robes. Gladly I didn't run into Malfoy. I had missed over half my classes that day and so I only had divination left.
Divination was by far the most boring class. All Harry, Ron, Hermione and I did was talk about Sirius Black. "You have to be careful Harry," I whispered, pretending to find something interesting in the glowing ball. He nodded. "Do you see anything in my future?" He asked bored. I focused more on the ball. Seeing nothing but meaningless white shapes and shrugged, "the Grim possibly." All of us laughed. It had now become an inside joke between the four of us. Hermione's face darkened first, "But we're serious Harry, don't go wandering around alone. Always have someone with you." She said. Harry looked to me and winked. "Don't worry I will." I smiled and peered closely at my ball, attempting to hide my blushed cheeks.
After class, I walked back to the Slytherin dorm. I realized I had forgotten my favorite quill in the library earlier. I hurried into the library and saw that I couldn't find my quill. I sighed in frustration. It's ok, I had plenty of spares. As I was walking back, Nearly Headless Nick came towards me. "My dear! Have you not heard! Sirius Black is in the castle. Hurry to the Great Hall to sleep!" I gasped and ran towards the Great Hall. I saw Dumbledore and Snape talking while standing in the middle. "Ah, late again Miss Y/L/N. Tsk Tsk, here's your blanket and pillow." Snape handed me my things. I looked around and found Harry's dark raven-colored hair. As I started to go towards him, Snape stopped me. "It is essential to sleep with your own house, there's a spot next to Malfoy over there, please proceed." I nodded and gave a fake smile. What was Snape playing at?
I trudged over and set up a blanket quietly. I hoped Malfoy was already asleep. Instead, the minute I laid down he spoke, "All the places you could've slept and yet you chose here". He turned to face me and smirked. "Chill Malfoy," I coldly said, "Snape forced me to be here." He seemed unconvinced and muttered, "whatever you say." He laid on his back and looked up at the stars. His silver eyes reflected the starry sky. I didn't realize that I was staring. "Am I really that good-looking?" He turned and smirked. I blushed and rolled my eyes. "I wasn't staring-" But then a bone-chilling howl pierced the air. Without thinking I moved closer to Malfoy. I hid my face under the blanket.
I stayed there for a good couple of minutes before Malfoy cleared his throat. I realized that I was practically clinging on to him and so I quickly repositioned myself away. I turned away in embarrassment and closed my eyes. I heard another howl and I tensed, curled up, and shut my eyes tightly. Just as I was drifting to sleep, I felt a warm arm wrap around. It was comforting and before I could make too much of it, I fell into a deep slumber.
