Today was the last D.A. meeting for the year. I was glad because this year I was invited to the Malfoy Manor for the holidays, so if there were any more meetings, I wouldn't have been able to attend them. I still didn't understand why the Malfoy family took so much interest in mine. We weren't even close to being purebloods.

Why they'd ever let my half blood mother ever in their house was a mystery. Nonetheless, I'm still grateful for them inviting us. I snuck out of the room of requirement. I turned the corner and ran into Jack. Over the last couple of weeks, after I made Draco apologize about the little "incident", we had become good friends.

"Hey what's up?" I asked. "Just wanted to see you before we go off to break." He smiled, walking along side me. "That's sweet. Make sure to write over break." I told him. "Yeah, I was wondering if maybe over break...only if you want to...we could you know...hang out?" He asked. "Yes! We could go visit the muggle world." I answered. "Yeah, so what's your address, so I don't show up at the wrong house haha." "Oh, I'm going to be at the Malfoy Manor." His face dropped. "Why would you spend even one minute more than what you're required to with that piece of scum." He spat. "Jack, I promise you, although he can be an arse sometimes-" Jack gave me a look. "Okay, okay, he can be an arse most of the time, but he's actually nice once you get to know him. I think he just has difficulty expressing his emotions."

We had stopped in front of my common room. He took his hands into mine. "I just want you to be careful around him. I don't exactly...trust him." He looked into my eyes. His thumb rubbed over the scar on my hand from Umbridge's detentions. Jack was one of the few people who knew about it. Draco had no idea. I nodded. He smiled, pulling me in for a hug. He smelled of flowers that were sweet and delicate. He pulled away and left, turning back to wink and smiled before he disappeared out of sight.

I packed my trunk and got ready. I walked down to the station. Once inside, I looked for an empty compartment. Draco came in after me. "I thought you were sitting with Alethea?" I teased. "Oh please, I just got rid of her." He huffed sitting across from me. I chuckled. "Excited?" He asked. "To spend more time with you? No thanks." I scoffed. He leaned in. "Come on, you know you love me." He whispered. A blush rose to my cheeks. "Ha! It's so easy to make you uncomfortable like that." He laughed to himself. "Ha ha very funny." I replied, rolling my eyes.

The rest of the train ride went by. I left the train looking for my parents. Draco grabbed my hand. "You're coming with me." He said, leading me to the car. He helped me put my trunk in the back and we sat down in the car. The driver started driving us away. I stared out the window.

----------Time skip to next day-----------

I woke up with the sun streaming in. I had the same bedroom that I had last time I was here. I got up and trudged downstairs for breakfast. We had waffles and pancakes. "What do you wanna do today?" Draco asked. I shrugged. "Maybe just chill in the house?" He nodded, going back to his food. I went upstairs to shower. I changed into a warm sweater and some jeans. I walked around the house just taking in the sight. The house was filled with servants and house elves all preparing for Christmas.

I found myself walking out the back. They had a beautiful garden. I walked further and came upon a small tent-like place. It had seven pillars and a domed roof. I stepped inside. There was a little music player inside. I turned it on, and it started playing a song. I closed my eyes and started swaying slightly to the music. I felt two arms snake around me. "Followed me all the way out here did you?" I asked. Draco kept his hands around my waist and rested his chain on my head. "Couldn't stay away." He mumbled.

He turned me around to face him, swaying alongside with me. "I want to ask you something." He said. "Yes?" I looked to his eyes. He grabbed my hand. "I-" He stopped. He looked down at my hand, He pulled up the sleeve of my sweater to reveal the scar. I pulled my hand away. "What was that?" His anger flared. "I-well it's hard to explain." I looked down. He walked up and gently took my hand. He inspected the scar, trailing his thumb across the words. "I have something that will help, come on."

He took my hand and led me back inside the house. He took me to a couch near the fireplace. He told me to sit and wait. He came back with a bottle of something. He took out a cloth, dipped it in the bottle and started applying it on my hand. While he did so, I told him about Umbridge. After I was finished, he looked down in disgust. "I hate that I'm part of her squad to be honest. I'm only doing it because my father told me to." I held his hand. "It's ok, you didn't know." That's when an owl came in. It dropped a letter on the couch, between me and Draco. The letter was dark purple and smelled slightly of lavender. Draco picked it up, reading who it came from. His eyes widened.
