Solas said the water in the lake had stopped running soon after the others woke. He kept the slightly modified silence spell up until we got down to Old Crestwood. It wasn't as loud now that I was moving in the direction of the mayor's old house.

There's a couple demons, zombies and wraiths (oh my) that are simple enough to send them back from whence they came.

As we move through the water logged village, I make mental notes of bodies to have the scouts come through to collect for funerals. The bodies of undead make it onto that list as well.

When I activate the elvhen artifact, there is an odd pulling sensation. Similar to getting blood drawn.

Crestwood is adding a bunch of new experiences to my list.

I look at the swirling green lines on my hand. It emits a softer glow than usual.

Concerning? Is this a good thing? Questions abound.

I get pulled from the thoughts as a large flash of lightning arcs across the sky.

I say, "want to experience something new, Solas?" I lay my hand on his shoulder just as thunder shakes the remaining walls of a nearby building.

His eyes shoot up towards the sky as the overlay of voices start up. It's not long before Solas brings one of his hands up to poke my own. I feel the modified silence spell take effect.

Solas's expression smooths out. "I'm not sure how you listened to that for three days."

"It was that bad three days ago."

"Be that as it may, I'm still slightly surprised that it took you so long to call attention to it."

"Be that as it may, I've had worse experiences with dead things. Though this is coming close."

Solas blinks at me before letting the spell drop.

He motions for me to lead on.

I catch sight of the spirit of command and the mayor's house. "Solas, if you would be so kind as to take care of that? Cassandra, Sera, could you carefully go see what there is to see in the mayor's old house?"

They all agree and head off. I turn back towards the artifact that is now emitting a low hum and start to poke at it.
