"Amara, wake up." Maisie spoke with a calm voice, usually she'd be yelling like a crazy woman.
"What's wrong?" Amara asked, beginning to worry.
"Sean, Dutch, and John are here." Maisie whispered, Amara got up from the bed, rubbing her eyes.
"I'll be down in a minute, take them to the front room and tell everyone to stay out of there." Amara demanded, walking to the bathroom.
"Okay." Maisie walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.
Amara got dressed in a dark blue dress that had a diamond design embedded on the skirt of it, the dress had long sleeves and fit tightly around her waist. She brushed her hair out, putting some
blush on her cheeks and walking downstairs.
"Is something wrong, Miss Findlay? Maisie said we can't go in the front room." Benjamin asked, putting a hand on the girls shoulder.
"We're playing a game of chess and would like to be left alone, now if you'll excuse me." Amara spoke with a calm voice, trying to take the worry out of it. She pushed past the man and rushed into the front room, shooing away any maids nearby. She spun on her heel to face the three men that were sitting on the couch. "And what do I owe the pleasure of you three coming to my house uninvited?"
Amara sat next to Maisie on the couch, taking a cigar and lighting it. Amara only smoked when she was stressed about something.
"Nothing serious, Miss Findlay. Simply would like to know a bit more about you before I let you come to my camp anymore." Dutch raised his hands up trying to seem as little of a threat as possible.
"You want to know more about me?" Amara asked with a neutral tone, the three men sitting across from her prepared themselves for what she would say next. Amara glanced at her sister, Maisie has a pleading look in her eyes. Amara sighed. "Let me get some tea." She stood up from the couch and walked out of them room.
"I thought she was gonna kick you out!" Maisie laughed, crossing her legs.
"Is there a reason for Amaras caution?" Dutch asked, lighting his own cigar.
"That's for her to tell you." Maisie spoke, making eye contact with Sean.
Dutch nodded and watched as Amara walked in and set a tray on the coffee table. It had a kettle of tea on it with sugar cubes, milk, and four teacups.
"Theres only four." John spoke up, grabbing a cup and pouring tea into it.
"I'm not in the mood for tea." Amara sighed, taking a puff of her cigar. "What do you want to know, Dutch?"
"Backstory." Dutch took a sip from the teacup, slightly burning his lip.
"There's not much, I was born into a wealthy family, surround by snobs all my life and got nothing but attention because of my looks. Nobody bothered to know about who I really was, just cared about my money and beauty." Amara frowned, looking down at her lap. Maisie placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"And your parents?" Dutch asked, blowing on the hot cup of tea.
"They treat me and Maisie right, gave us everything we could ever want. They work for Cornwall, actually on a business trip right now." Amara took one last puff of her cigar than put it out in the ash tray that was on the coffee table.
"Is that why we were allowed inside?" John spoke up, catching the attention of Amara.
"Yes." Amara looked over at Maisie who was staring right at Sean. She rolled her eyes and looked back to Dutch. "I'm not gonna start trouble in your camp, Dutch."
