Amara laid her head on Johns chest and his arms were wrapped around her. She looked up at him to see him staring at her. He immediately turned away when he saw she had noticed.

"I better go check on Maisie." Amara said.

She tried to stand up but was held back by John.

"No, stay with me." He whined, wrapping his arms tighter around her.

"John we have to go back." Amara giggled, trying to twist out of his grasp.

"Fine." He huffed, letting go of Amara and standing up.

He held out a hand to her. Amara took his hand and John pulled her up from the ground. They both walked back towards camp, Amara walking in first and John a few minutes after.

Maisie walked up to Amara. "Where were you?"

"One of the horses ran off so I went to go get it." Amara said, quickly turning away from Maisie and walking over to Arthur who was getting his horse ready.

"Where are you going, Arthur?" Amara asked, catching the attention of the man.

"Gotta go settle a debt." Arthur said, turning to face Amara.

"Mind if I tag along?" Amara looked up at him.

"I don't know.." Arthur shrugged, fixing his saddle.

"C'mon Arthur, I could use some excitement." Amara chuckled, studying the horses surrounding her.

"You sure you wanna come?"

"Yes."

Arthur nodded. "Go get your horse." He sighed, mounting up.

Amara whistled Trapper over and he ran straight to her. She quickly mounted up and followed Arthur down the path.

"Whose debt is it?" Amara asked as they rode past Valentine.

"Thomas Downes." Arthur grumbled. "Old Strauss has been sending me everywhere collecting these damn debts."

"You could always say you're busy." Amara suggested, looking over at Arthur who had his eyes focused on his horse.

"Yeah, but nobody else would do them." Arthur said, leading them up a hill.

Amara shrugged. The rest of the ride was quiet. They made it to a small property and there was a man outside tending to his plants. Amara slightly pitied the man as he didn't look all that well.

"Thomas Downes! You owe me money." Arthur yelled, walking towards the man. Amara followed slowly after him.

She studied his face and Thomas let out a dry cough following with even more coughs.

"Sir please, I'll get the money!" Thomas Downes begged as Arthur picked him up by the collar than threw him to the ground.

"Arthur wait.." Amara placed a hand on his shoulder as Thomas let out a cough, following by blood. "He's sick."

Arthur looked down at the man, ashamed im his actions towards him.

"I'll pay his debt, let's just leave him be." Amara pleaded, turning Arthur to face her.

"Alright." Arthur nodded, leaving the sick man alone. His wife and son ran out of the house.

"Come on, Arthur." Amara said with a gentle voice, walking with him to their horses.
