--Ghost’s POV—

It’s dark, but I’m aware of my surroundings. There’s a constant buzzing in my ear, and something tightly wrapped around my body. I can’t move but my legs can. I try to open my eyes and I’m able to get one open.

My sight is blurry but I can make out only a bit. I’m in some windowless room, a bolted shut door strait across from me. I’m seated on the ground, my back against a cold, stone wall. I hear something and the door soon opens.

There walks in Casket, Maya following behind. He walks over to be as Maya stays by the door.

“Hello Ghost, sleep well?” He asks, that creepy smile on his face. I glare at him. I open my mouth the yell at him, but I’m only able to get a moan out. I still have a bad pain in my chest and a pounding feeling in my head. I hear his creepy chuckle as he bends don’t in front of me.

“Bet you want an explanation about Maya, don’t you?” I glare at him but slowly nod. He chuckles and grabs at the ropes that wrap around me. He pulls me up and drags me to the center of the room. Maya brings in 2 chairs and Casket sets me down in one of them.

Maya hands him another thing of rope and ties me to the chair.

“Now that you can’t escape, time for the explanation.” Casket walks to the front of me and sits down in the other chair Maya brought in.

“Years ago, before you and Toast were even a team, you were someone else. But you don’t remember that, do you?” Confused, I search my memory but for some reason, I can’t remember anything before me and Toast became PIE. I never even noticed that before.

“Well, when you were the different person, I was more in control. That’s when I met Maya,” He says that as he looks over at Maya. Maya walks up and leans on the back of his chair.

“She was just a lonely Ghost Hunter, thinking that searching the same building I was in was a good idea. We ran into each other and well… things happened. She seemed more interested than scared of me and wanted to… to learn. “

“I soon adapted her to what I did and she became this,” He said, motioning to Maya behind him.

“But when Toast found you, and I lost control, Maya seemed to turn back to who she was before she met me and went on with her ghost exterminating ways. I kept a promise to one day get control back and get her back.”

“Only a few days ago, I got in contact with some help in the 13th dimension. I was able to get my own body and that’s is how I am here now.” He chuckles creepily and I stare at him. There so much new information about me that I never knew. And Maya…

“But it seems Toast is dead, so there is no hope for you. I better just kill you now,” He says, pulling out his blood stained knife. The same one he used to kill Toast.

He steps towards me and I shut my eyes, waiting for the pain to take over. But it never does. Instead I hear Casket shout and something hit the ground.

I slowly open one eye and look at what happened. Casket is sprawled on the ground, a figure standing over him. Maya lays, her back against the wall, her body slumped over. Then, the figure that was standing over Casket turns around and I can finally breathe when I see who it is.

“Sorry I’m late, sir. But don’t worry, I'm back from the dead.”
