--Maya’s POV--

In, the morning, I open my eyes to see someone watching me. My eyes go wide when I realize who it is. I sit up quickly and back up against the wall.

“Stay back, stay back!!”

“God you are such a baby,” Casket say, rolling his eyes. Toast suddenly barges in.

“What’s wrong!?” Toast asks as he sees Casket.

“Oh…”

“Yeah!! It’s Casket!!”

“Um… Maya did I ever tell you the deal I made with Casket?” Toast asks and I quickly shake my head.

“That’s would make sense,” Toast says, walking over and sitting next to me on my bed. Casket stands there, his arms folded over his chest, watching us.

“The deal I made with Casket it that if he promises not to hurt/kill us, I would allow him to stay inside Ghost and be able to take control every once in a while.” I stare at Toast for a while before looking over at Casket and then back at Toast.

“Toast that is the-“

“Yes I know.” I stare at him a second before sighing.

“Ok, whatever,” I say, standing up and walking pass Casket.

“When do we Ghost back?” I ask, not turning around to look at them.

“I’m allowing Casket to take control on morning ONLY IF we don’t have a case,” I hear Toast say.

“Wait… don’t u mean if you and Ghost have a case?” I ask, turning a bit to look at Toast over my shoulder.

“Nope; I mean me, Ghost and you,” Toast says and I fully turn around to look at him.

“Maya, would you like to join PIE?” Toast asks, holding out his hand. I freak out, jumping at Toast and wrapping my arms around his neck, resting my head on his shoulder. Toast wraps his arms around my back and we hug for a second.

“This is amazing, Toast! Thank you so much!” I say when we break.

“Hey; no problem. I think Ghost will be glad to be with you more,” Toast says and I feel myself blush. Then someone clears their throat and Toast and I look over at Casket.

“Yeah… I’m still here,” Casket says. Toast and I both apologize and Casket rolls his eyes.

“Just tell me where knifey is so I can stab staB STAB!” Casket says ,his insane showing at the end. Toast sighs, pulling out a knife from his back pockets. Casket quickly takes it and runs out of my hotel room.

“Well, that was… was…”

“Different?” I nod and Toast chuckles a bit.

“Casket told me earlier this morning that he will be back at noon so we can have Ghost back,” Toast says before leaving me alone in my hotel room. I just stand there a while before I decided to go shopping for new clothes. All my stuff was still at my apartment back home and who knows how far away that was. Slipping on my worn out shoes, I let Toast know where I’m going so I can have the keys to Ghost’s car.

Once I have the keys to the car, I quickly make my way down the stairs and outside. That’s when I run into Casket.

“What are you doing near the hotel? Don’t you have your… things to do?” I ask.

“Already done; stab stab stabbing is fun,” Casket exclaims and I see his “knifey” bloodied.

“Dude did you f**king kill someone!?”

“He knew my secret! I had to,” Casket says and I roll my eyes.

“God you are weird. Since you’re done, can we have Ghost back earlier?”

“Nope! Not till noon!” I groan and start to walk towards Ghost’s car.

“So whatcha doing?” Casket asks, the insane sound in his voice gone. I freeze and slowly turn around to look at him. He looked and sounded exactly like Ghost but his pupils were still deep red.

“How did you-“

“Just cause I’m an insane murderer doesn’t mean I can’t act normal,” Casket says and I groan.

“So are you just going to follow me around till noon?”

“Pretty much; Toast is boring,” Casket says and I groan again. Casket runs over to get into the passenger seat and I slide into the driver’s seat.

“It’s amazing you even know how to act normal,” I say, turning on the car.

“I pretty much live inside Ghost. I’ve learned to adapt,” Casket says and I stare at him for a second before looking back ahead of me.

This… is going to be awkward,

I think to myself as I drive out of the parking lot.
