I woke up the next morning just after six. I let my head roll to the side, and smiled at the sight of Mia. Her hair was longer now. I don't think she cut it the whole time we were apart. She was also thinner. I think the stress of the past few months affected her more than she thought. I could see her ribs up her sides, and even the bumps of her spine. I reached out my hand and ran it over her back, as I admired her golden skin.
She stirred and moved over to me and curled into my chest. Her eyes stayed closed as she kissed over my chest.
"We should get up." I said as I rubbed her back.
"Why?"
"It's Sunday..." I said, like it was obvious.
"Do you have a date with Jesus or something?" She asked with a chuckle.
I moved so she would see my face, "Brunch with your Mom?" I said.
Her face fell, and she cleared her throat, "We haven't done that lately." she said quietly.
"That's not ok." I said sitting up and getting out of bed.
I walked to my closet and pulled out clothes for both of us. I pulled on a pair of jeans and a white and blue shirt.
Mia still had some clothes here, so I grabbed a pair of her leggings, a tank top, a thong, and one of my hoodies. I walked back into the room and dropped them on the bed. I crossed my arms and watched her as she sat up.
"Are we living together?" I asked her straight up.
"Um..." She said taken aback at my bluntness.
"Mia, you promised that this was it, and we had completely unprotected sex last night. This is the least of the three commitments we just made." I said chuckling.
She nodded and smiled, "Yeah, we're living together."
"Good now get up and get dressed." I said pulling the covers off of her.
She put on the leggings and the hoodie and we walked out the door.
