This past week has been insane. Last weekend I went to Liam's house with Mom to drop off all of his stuff. I knew he didn't want to see me, but I also know Liam, and I knew we needed to talk, and things would start to get better.
I apologized extensively for everything that happened. He was so unnecessarily hurt through all of this. I took Izzy to him a few nights this last week to have dinner with him, and spend time with him before he went into work.
While Izzy was with Liam, Mom, Damien and I finished moving her out of the apartment, and back home.
Isaac was still here too, so he was staying at Damien's old house, and of course, Amy would be there whenever she could.
When I got off work on Friday, I went home and got Izzy, and took her Liam. I knew he would be uncomfortable coming to the house, so I offered to drop her off and pick her up. Izzy would be with him all weekend, which gave us time to move Damien in completely.
When I walked inside after dropping Izzy off, I could smell the dinner that Mom was cooking. It felt so good to have her back here all the time. I walked into the kitchen, and saw Mom pulling a ham out of the oven. Damien was sitting in a chair at the counter talking to her as she puttered.
Damien smiled as he saw me, and I went to sit next to him.
"Did everything go ok?" He asked.
"Yeah, Izzy was excited to see him." I said as I leaned in for a kiss.
"Good." Damien said, just before he kissed me. "Isaac and Amy are going to help us move stuff tomorrow, so maybe it won't take as long as we thought."
"Oh, ok. Are they going to stay at her apartment from now on then?" I asked.
"I don't know." Damien shrugged.
"I guess we'll just talk to them tomorrow." I said.
We set the table and ate dinner. We all went to bed early, knowing tomorrow was going to be a long day. Every night that I curled up next to Damien, I was thankful that I had him back.
...
"What are we going to do with the extra bed, and all the duplicate furniture?" I asked Damien as we packed his clothes in his closet.
"I figured I would either donate them, or sell them with the house." He said.
There was a knock on the open bedroom door, and Damien stuck his head out of the closet.
"Hey man, what's up?" He said. I assumed he was talking to Isaac.
"Can I talk to you?" Isaac asked.
"Yeah." Damien said. He looked back at me, and said, "I'll be back in a minute."
"Ok." I said with a smile.
I finished packing the rest of the closet and moved into the bathroom. I put everything into smaller boxes since they would be heavier. As I was putting the towels in a box, Damien came in.
"Come with me for a minute." He said motioning with his head.
I followed him out to the kitchen where Mom and Amy were tediously packing the kitchen and wrapping each individual thing so nothing would break.
Amy looked around at all of us as we circled the island.
"What?" She said to anyone and everyone.
Isaac cleared his throat. "I um... I just talked to D, and he said he would be willing to wait on selling the house for a couple months." He said, looking nervous.
