Ch 16: Awake

Hinata's POV

Ever since that practice match with Aoba Johsai, I couldn't find any peace. My mind was like a bell that kept ringing and ringing.. Except I didn't mind. Because it was full of Kageyama. Why did he get a girlfriend? And why so suddenly? Didn't he say he would dedicate his life to volleyball? And why am I so upset! Is it because I'm a third wheel now?? Ayo no way! Hmph.

No. That's definitely not the reason. Something doesn't feel right.

Hinata's mom: oh, Shoyou! I missed you so much, come here.
Hinata: mom!
Natsu: onii-chaaaaaan!
Hinata: hi Natsu:) how was your vacation?
Natsu: it was so much fun! I was doing so much coloring and there were a lot of toys, what about you, Nii-chan?
Hinata: hm? Still the same, I'm still playing volleyball like usual.
Natsu: hehe you're always playing that, onii-chan.
Hinata's mom: now now, Natsu. Go upstairs and change your clothes.
Natsu: okay mom!
Hinata's mom: hey Hinata?
Hinata: yes mom?
Hinata's mom: your eyes are red and you cheeks are a a little bit swollen.. Are you sure you're okay?
Hinata: huh? Oh um it's just the team, they've been squeezing my cheeks and um I cried because we lost a match but I'm alright.
Hinata's mom: hm okay! Go upstairs and change. You smell like sweat and volleyballs.
Hinata: okay mom!

" hm.. I know you're lying Shoyou but I'll wait till you can tell me the truth yourself"  Hinata's mom whispered to herself as she sits down on the sofa to relax a bit.

Well today was really tiring. I better get some sleep and rest my mind.

- the little boy tries to doze off to sleep, but the ringing of the bells just got louder which is preventing him to sleep-

What's this? Why is my mind ringing.. It's night already! I need you to shut up mind! I wanna get up and play volleyball and then beat Seijoh!!

Natsu: onii-chan, are you going to sleep already?
Hinata: oh, Natsu. Yes I am, let's play tomorrow okay?
Natsu: okay. Goodnight onii-chan!

Well I bet Natsu won't have any trouble sleeping.. So lucky.

Sensei: Hinata! You're dozing off in my class again!
Hinata: I'm.. I'm so sorry sensei. I barely got any sleep last night and-
Sensei: that's none of my business! It's been 3 times already. Go tot he principal's office.
Hinata: okay.

Dang it. I didn't wanna go to the prinicipal's office so early in the morning.

Oh? It's kageyama.
Hinata: why are you here in the prinicipal's office, Kageyama? Did you get into trouble again?
Kageyama: huh? No! Don't be stupid. I was just sent here.
Hinata: sent because?
Kageyama: b-because..i- I was being called. That's it.
Hinata: ah I see.
Kageyama: what about you?
Hinata: eh I didn't get any sleep last night.. I couldnt help but fall asleep in Mrs. Fuyuin's class. Her voice is like a lullaby until she shouts!
Kageyama: AHAHAHA. You idiot, you should know when and where to sleep.
Hinata: shut up bakageyama, like I can control my sleepiness!
Prinicipal: you two can come in.
...
Prinicipal: you both were brought here for one reason.
Hinata: hm?
Prinicipal: YOU'RE BOTH DOZING OFF IN LECTURES!
Hinata: hUh? Kageyama you al-
Kageyama: Ey shut up! Fine fine, I didn't get any sleep either so I couldn't help it. Don't rub it in on me.
Hinata: PFFFF! I knew you were called for another reason! There was no way you would be called for nothing you know. I'm not a complete idiot.
Kageyama: hrmph.

So he didn't get any sleep either? I wonder what was keeping him awake?
