Chapter 18

"Ahhhhhh!" I looked around. It was no longer night time. I looked at the tv. It was 12 pm on a Thursday morning. It was bright outside. The sun shone through the windows into the living room. I looked beside me to see Mia sleep. "Oh thank the lord it was only a dream. A nightmare. Or maybe a wet dream. Shit why did I think of Jack in that way." I got up and pressed the button on the wall to make the tv go back in the cabinet. We must've fell asleep during the movie.

Mia slowly got up. She yawned and looked in my direction. "Buenos días, Amor." "Goodmorning to you too Mia." "So what's on the agenda for today." Mmmmmmm I thought about it. There wasn't a lot to do. We left our phones at home and I'm too scared from my nightmare last night to watch tv again.

"I think we should take a walk. I'm sure there's trails here."

"Ooh hiking. Sounds fun. I kind of miss Sophia. I need to get my mind off of her right now."

"Yea I understand I miss her and Chaz too. Let's get dressed and go on that hike."

We turned around as the door opened. "Hey dad!"

"Hey Amor. Hey Mia. I just came back to check on you girls. Sorry that I couldn't come back yesterday I was in a meeting. How is everything?"

"It's great here. We're about to go on a walk."

"That's great Amor. I'll stay here for a few more minutes to get some rest then I'll be back on the road."

My dad walked through the living room and closed his bedroom door. Me and Mía got up and went into our bedroom as well. I pulled out some clothes out of my suitcase and went in the bathroom to change. When I was done I looked in the mirror. I was wearing skin tight black shorts and a red croptop with a heart on it. I put on a red cap to match my shirt and keep the sun out of my eyes. I threw on some red low cut vans. I put my hair into 2 cornrows and put on some lipgloss.I looked good even when I barely tried. My eyes were hazel and it matched my hair color which was light brown. My skin glowed after leaving the drama behind. I'm glad that I feel happy and at peace again. I heard a knock on the door. "Amor, what in the hell are you doing in there damn I could've went on this walk 3 times over and you would still be getting ready." I laughed and opened the door. "I wasn't even in there for long."

Me and Mia grabbed a bottle of water on our way out. We found a path on the right side of the house. The path was made from tiny grey rocks. As we walked we could see a lake out in the distance. We followed the path until we got there.

"Look Amor, el agua es hermosa!"

"Yea Mia it is beautiful, i'm glad we found it."

We walked down the path onto the beautiful scenery. There was a big rock that we decided to climb on so we could have a better view of the lake. I looked all around. There were trees everywhere. All i saw were trees, trees, and more trees. There's not another person in sight. Not even a house or a building. I wasn't use to this, when you live in the DMV there are people everywhere. Especially DC when I use to go to my dad's headquarters. It was quiet here. You could only hear the movement of the lake, the wind, and the birds chirping. "So Amor how is life? What was the reason why you came to the cabin in the first place?"

I sighed "Well to be frank, this boy that i guess you could say i have a crush on introduced me to his friend. His friend's name is Ben. Ben is actually a really good person to have around. He's the funniest person I know. We were starting to grow closer. He helped me out a few times. He brung some of his friends around for me to meet and I saw his true colors. The whole friend group is a mess, they need to get their priorities straight. I haven't talked to him since. I went here to get away. I don't want to deal with them yet." I looked down and shook my head. Maybe I was being harsh. None of them ever did anything to hurt me and I treated them bad. Well except for Jack trying to kill me twice. They were always honest from the very beginning. I feel terrible but what do they expect. Jeff literally stood there in my bedroom and told me about how he murdered his family. Ben is a literal demon and comes from a serial killer household. My goal in life is to become a lawyer and help people but their goal in life is to kill every person who pisses them off or who's name is on the list that Slendy gives them. It's idiotic and not ok, I shouldn't be around bad influences like that.

"Ah I'm sorry mi amor. Maybe they'll turn around. Maybe you don't know the whole story. You guys should sit down one day and be direct."

"Maybe. I'm not ready to face them yet. Some things can't be undone."

"True, but give them a chance. Now tell me about this boy you have a crush on. Is it that same boy you told me and Sophia about when we came over to hang out the other day."

"Yea, him. His name is Ej. He acts like he doesn't care about anyone or anything. He's really mean too. I really like his eyes though. They're a dark brown color. It looks like honey in the sunlight. His hair is nice too it's also dark brown. When I first saw him he took my breath away. I had met one of his friends before we went on this trip. Her name is Jane, she said he doesn't look good. That he's the worst looking one in the group but that can't be true. I'd choose him over the rest of his homies anyday." Me and Mia started cackling hard. "Well actually I've only met 2 of his male friends but he's absolutely perfect. I just wish he was nicer to me. Or even talked to me. I ran into him twice and I haven't seen him since. I had a dream about him last night after we watched IT. I've never felt so drawn to someone as much as I was in that dream. I didn't even want Xavier that bad when I was with him."
