14. silent christmas.

"Why dont you keep her company for awhile dad. Mom." Naru comanded.

Mai was hugging Lin from behind and was poking my arm. Lin let his hand follow in the direction the others were going as if to say 'dont leave me help me!' Lola was with them. She didnt want to be around kenji right now.
Im not quite sure how to look after a kid but i do know how to look after mai!

"Hey kenji how about a piggy back rife?" I asked enthusiastically

He nodded a bunch and climbed on my back. Ok mai has put on some weight apparently. I did three laps of the room we were in with kenji and he was enjoying it. He pointed to the door and i put him down and ruffled mai's hair.

"Im sorry kenji but im too tired to take you out of the room." He nodded and ran to Lin.

Then suddenly Lins bursting through the door to the hallway naru's in with mai on his back and me running in after them. Laughing. Munk was trying to hold back his laughter.
Naru has the idea to find kenji. I guess he means whats left of kenji. I helped kenji get off of Lin and held the hand of mai and kenji.

"Lets go play some more, what do you think darling~" i asked Lin.

He didnt have A choice beacause kenji begant to dragg him by the hand.

"Mochi's having fun woth this isnt she" munk asked chuckling.

We started to look for kenji's remains in the last place they looked 30 years ago. The small box area thing that kenji first mistook us as his parents in.
Munk jumped over the wall to the aqua duct. There was a space kenji could hide tecnically but there wasnt anything there.

"Lin mochi continue babysitting mai, keep her busy"

"Okay boss!"

"Hey kenji what should we play?" He tightened mais grip on lins arm. "Dont worry your parents can come too"

"Stop it!" Lin warned munk

Kenji grabbed my hand and made me run around like an airoplane with him. We did this till we landed our planes in the kitchen where the others where baking for midnight mass. Kenji and i looked lovingly at the baking. We sneakily took a slice and ate it together in the corner while munk was talking. We were giggling like children

"We'll lend a hand too if needed. Im sure our family team here is game too right?" Munk asked. Me and kenji jumped with joy and both smiled at Lin. The others all smiled at us, ayako was taking photos.

We all sat at the tables and began to wrap the cakes up. Kenji made me re do it a few times.

"Ill be back now k kenji, im getting a drink i'll be back darling~"

I got up and went to the kitchen, i was running the tap when lola came through the wall.

"(Y/N) i found kenji"

"Omg where?!" I followed after her outside and to the front gate.

"Look by the feet of the angels up there" i saw a skull.

Kenji. He's up there.

The doors swung open and mai came running out crying and out to the trees. I ran after her, i thought that i'd lost her but then i looked up and there she was, sat on one of the highest branches like 20 feet up the tree was like 25 feet up so she was quite high.
I tried to call kenji down but he seemed to be drowning me out. I climbed up to where she was and sat with her. We both stared up at the church statues for like 15 minuets, lola went up to check and she felt the same aura that kenji does now, so she came back to kenji and i and confirmed that the skull up there was his.

"Kenji?" I touched her cheek "is it really you?" Tears streemed down her face when looking at me. "Kenji?"

"I found them!" I heard munk call.

Jhon came over to see munk looking up at the tree smiling at me and mai/kenji.

"Kenji thoses are my friends alright. They wont hurt you i promise. Just please go with them. I will follow right after you okay?" She nodded.

"MUNK CLIMB UP A BIT TO GRAB KENJI!" he did as i told and brought her down.

He gave her his coat and comforted her till the others came over. She went straight to Lin and latched onto him in a hug. But Lin took himself back and naru helped kenji to reveil his hiding spot. They all looked up to the angels statues and pondered on how he'd gotten up there. Kenji looked up at Lin and backed away, she went on over to naru and nodded.

"Thank you sir" he looked back at me

"Thank you (Y/N)" he thanked.

He then left mai's body causing her to fall but lola darted down and caught her, naru held out his arms and lola layed him in his arms so he was carrying her bridal style.

"You can come down now!" Lola called up to me.

"THE FUCK I CAN I GOT UP HERE ON HEROICS! THE ONLY WAY IM LEAVING THIS TREE IS IF I FUCKING FALL DOWN! ALL BRAVERY WAS USED TO CLIMB THIS THING!"

"your being dramatic!" Ayako yelled

"DRAMATIC BUT NOT GOING TO HOSPITAL!"

"You always go to hospital whats the change now?"

"THE FUCKING HOSPITAL BILL JHON THATS THE CHANGE! THAT SHITS EXPENCIVE!"

"Jump!"

"LIN I LOVE YOU BUT IM NOT FUCKING JUMPING DOWN A 25 FOOT TALL TREE!"

"I will catch you! just jump darling"

"DID YOU SERIOUSLY JUST USE THE DARLING CARD?!"

"Im using another card too, if you jump to me we can cuddle in the den"

The two of us are watching over mai right now she's still passed out from kenji possessing her.
Obviously i fucking jumped down the tree, and obviously he caught me but i had my eyes closed the entire time and when he caught me i latched onto him with my arms around his neck and my legs wrapped around his waist and my head in his shoulder. I told him that i was gonna kill him and he laughed at me.
Mai was on the bed asleep and lin was sat on a chair next to the bed i had a chair next to his.
I cant believe he pulled the cuddle and darling card.

"Are you still mad i made you jump from the tree?" No answer

"Darling~" no answer

"Oh hey" jhon entered the room.

"Hey jhon!" I answered. Lin wasnt happy i wouldnt answer him but i'd answer jhon.

"Hey cutie. Were all packed up ready to go you want me to sneak a cake back for you?"

"CUTIE?! Look jhon i get that you guys are friends and all but there is no possible reason for you to start calling her 'cutie' all of a sudden alright. And no she doesnt need you to get her a cake because im getting her one. You guys act soo close most might think that your dating!" Lin had a go at jhon.

"LIN!" I wanted to defend jhon.

"Mochi its fine. Lin dont bite my head off this is all her idea alright." He said before i comanded Lin to take a walk.

"Jhon im sooo sorry"

"Its fine. Him getting all defencive must mean something right? You think its working? Our plan i mean"

"...i do. Hows it going for you?"

"I think im having an effect, i stopped calling her by her first name and now by her last name to see if that makes her realise, but im going to continue to call everyone else by there first names."

"What about you mai?"

"I think its working. Hes nicer to me than before i guess" she answered tiredly. She did just wake up to our covosation.

"Well get up we have a party to get to!"
