I woke up on a red sofa laying on top of the others. my head was on mai's lap and my legs on munk's lap. i have a splitting headache.
everyone was freaking out over some one. mai seemed confused but the others were just gushing about some dude named dr. Oliver Davis.
"sorry to bother you but is there a bathroom around here?" i asked as i got up off of the couch slowly, being careful not to mess myself up again. everyone's attention was on me and i mean everyone. I don't even know who some of them are. lin got out of his seat on the table to lend me a hand, he also checked me over when he thought I wasn't looking.
"um yes miss its down the hall 6th door on your left." I nodded a thank you to the man in charge as I walked to the doors. gripping the handle I didn't feel well. I felt like that stench would just be awaiting me when I opened the doors. "would you like some help miss?" the same guy asked me politely. I smiled and shook my head while waving him off. a series of gasps echoes throughout the room. it scared me how everyone did it at the same time, maybe it was rude of me to wave him off? I hid my waving hand behind my back and charged out of the doors. thankfully the smell wasn't there.
I was in the bathroom when I heard it.
it couldn't have been more than five minuets after I'd left that room I was washing my hands when I heard an old groggy voice croak out 'I don't want to die' it was so close and clear as if it were right next to me. then, I looked down to turn off the tap only to see the clear water that ran through the tap only moments ago was now a deep red.
I pegged it out the room, down the hall sticking my head into every room till I found my teams.
"hey isn't it weird that this famous guy's here and no ones making a fuss of it?" I heard mai's voice. it instantly calmed me down I felt so much better already. entering the room everyone said a quick hi and asked how I was, I gave them an even quicker 'yea I'm good' before dodging them all and making my way to the drinks area to make a tea for me and a good ol coffee for lin.
"hey naru where'd you run off to?" munk asked as naru entered.
"I went to get the equipment since I'm planning on doing work." he noticed me and nodded, i nodded back. he pointed behind him. I nodded again and raised my eyebrow. he nodded and put his hands together like a prayer. I giggled and turned away to make him a cuppa tea. the others watched in amusement.
"oh my let me help." mai exclaimed as she ran over to grab a box off of the table.
"no mai leave it there. that stuffs too heavy for a woman to carry." naru i get why you said it but dued that sounded sexist.
Mr ohashi came by to see how we were doing and ask if the room was the right fit for us. of course naru took this opportunity to use him for an interview. so he sat down with lin typing everything up that Mr ohashi was saying, it was all sorta boring so i ignored bits of it. apparently this place has been developed a lot and has undergone a whole lot of add ons like every year.
"his name was kanayuki miama. he owned land here in the sua region, he ended up building a silk mill here and was known for his involvement with various charitable works. he even built an orphanage in a charity hospital." that name. I don't like it. obviously there is nothing wrong with his name I just mean that it gives me a bad feeling. "unfortunately he lost most of his ventures when the market collapsed. the hospital and orphanage closed down. he passed away shortly after."
I grabbed my phone out and text naru about how this miama guy made me feel real bad. his phone dinged. he ignored it. obviously. I mean he is a professional.
not a lot of what else was said was important to me so I didn't listen to it. but what did catch my attention was the next conversation.
"excuse me who is this man?" Mr ohashi asked yaso. um excuse me good sir if you wanna know who he is then ask HIM.
"my name is lin koujo." lin told him with his deep amazing voice.
"I would guess you are Chinese." yea course he is.
"I'm originally from Hong Kong." he stated, the second that sentence left his mouth everyone watching the interview had the most shocked face on.
"you guys didn't know? I've known since I met him." Mr ohashi left as soon as he arrived. naru went and gave everyone there jobs to do and I passed the boys their drinks.
"and after the sun goes down no one does anything alone agreed?" he gave more orders out about making charms. like always monk tried to argue with naru but like always it was shut down quick. not just because of naru's predictable come backs but also the fact that masako just fainted onto munk. he caught her quickly, holding her up safely she tells us that-
"there's a fowl presence, and I think I smell blood" mai mentioned that she smelled it too. but I don't smell it right now. old news you guys I smelt that ages ago.
we went on our ways after this incident.
everyone was leaving out the door with their backs to us so I took the opportunity. I very quickly gripped lins face, pulled him towards me and kissed him lovingly. he responded fast, kissing me back with a good level of passion. pulling away slowly. he pulled me closer by wrapping his arm around my waist.
"sorry darling I have a job to do" I tell him as I snake away out of his lovely grip. he complains with a gruff groan which just makes me giggle at him. I decided to join mai's group. who was trying to figure out a floor plan and map out the temperatures of every room, it was me, mai, yaso and munk. the mystery gang! -minus scooby- ill be Daphne.
we took so many wrong turns, ended up in do many dead ends it wasn't as fun as a corn maze. entered one room ready to do the temperature, recoded by velma (mai), when fred (yaso) made a joke about us getting lost, shaggy (munk) didn't like that joke but i did it was fun to see his face drop. shaggy opened a pair of shutters when in the new room and he audibly gasped which caught our attention.
"what did you find someones body?" the three of us asked as we sped walked over to him. turns out this window leads to a room. a normal grey walled room with a table and a single chair in it, there's also a chest of draws upright against the back wall behind the table, it has pictures on it. creepy. i wanna investigate.
"why would someone just have this here?" mai asked as i jumped through the window. "mochi no!" too late.
I'm already in the room, seeing as I'm in here I went through the draws, there wasn't much in there it was practically empty, just some papers and this weird white robe tie. one of the things that go through your dressing gown to tie it up. it was weird.
i heard the door open and some people talking but i didn't care enough, then i heard that discusting laugh the over the top HOHAHOHA i felt myself cringing. that stupid guy was here the one who brought mr davis or whatever. i walked over to the window and looked into the room while yaso -i mean fred, put the guy to shame.
the guy saw me and freaked out, started shaking and everything. why? am i that ugly?
he walked away after that.
we headed back to base after all that. they all spoke to naru but I walked over to lin and sat on the desk in front of him. with a long sigh I took lins coffee cup out of his hand and drank some.
"penny for your thoughts?" he slid a penny across to me.
"am i ugly? or scary?" he looked shocked for a moment before taking his coffee back, taking a sip of the bitter drink.
"am i 11?" he answered my question with a question.
"what?" i laughed at him. he smiled and placed a hand on my leg running circles with his index finger.
"sorry thought we were asking stupid questions." i shook my head giggling. "your stunning best looking girl in the world, i should know I've turned them all down." he joked
