"How come they expect us to leave when we haven't finished investigating?!" Mai yelled.

"I dont know" munk said monotone with his arms crossed. "Our hands are tied on this one mai if the client wants us to leave we gotta leave"

But were not done yet.

I looked out the window to think when lola caught my eye. She stood in the carpark hunched over slightly as she coughed up a flower. I feel so guilty about all this.

"But" mais voice lowered in pitch in her realisation that she was loosing "but were not done."

She thought for a moment before shouting once more trying her absolute hardest to put her point across.

"Look we cant stop now the remaining spirits will just feed on eachother untill there's one giant and dangerouse spirit is left!"

Narus head snapped up from his book taking in what mau had just told us all i turned my self back to mai quickly.
"Mai might be on to something there! Its like the box game!"

"They'll feed on eachother untill the strongest remains." Naru simplified it. That is definitely the box game!

Narus face turned pale like more pale than usual he looked slightly spooked.

"Thats like the box game where you place creatures and or critters in a box leave, come back and see who's won! My aunty taught me it!" Before she then stuck me and her two sons in the basement for two weeks without water and food.

"Is it possible were up against a koduku using spirits"

"What is a koduku?" Mai asked naru. All eyes were now on myself and naru.

"A zuzo curse. A hex that dates back to ancient China its been thought to be extinct for years now. Zuzo normaly use hidogara, talismans and other charms to curse but some can use living creatures. That is a koduku." Naru told them

"Usually an insect is used one known as a golden silk worm but no one knows what type of bug that is its like a mystery. Worms and centipedes are also commonly used! You take your bugs and put them in a pot and burry it underground several months later you dig it up!" I carried on to explain the box game in further detail to them making sure to take a breather "what remains is a single bug thats eaten all the rest!"

"The curse is performed with that lone survivor. The bug takes possession of the house owned by the person being cursed and brings in an enormous amount of wealth however in return a human needs to be sacrificed for the curse to continue. If not the bug will devour the home owner"

Mai freaked out at that a little. I was forced to play the bug game loads of times by my aunty she had me collect the bugs and then she'd burry them. She didn't want it to end so she moved on from bugs to people.

"If one is unable to feed the bug they must exchange all of the wealth the bug has produced plus interest for gold and silver and leave it in the road. Its called the gold and silkworm transfer."

Damn bug is a depth collector.

The group go into discussing the technicalities of it saying on how someone could easily just take the money. I zoned out on this and looked back out the window to where lola was. She wasn't alone. Yaso was with her. They seemed to be talking civily.

"The same curse can be used as a death curse you perform the koduku curse and send the bug along with some silver to someone you despise. They don't understand its meaning neglect to feed the bug and are devoured in the process. If someone is using this to create a death curse then the remaining spirits will be used to implement the zuzo. But if this happened by chance because the school resides in a spiritual location then there's no telling what could happen."

"Then if just one spirit is remaining the school its taken possession of will have to feed it just like the homeowner does right?"

They all began to go into a fit about sacrificing human lives. My mind however was preoccupied.

For this to really be happening then there would've been loads of spirits what could possibly attract that many spirits to this place its only become a problem some what recently so its not like the spirits were already here right? So what could cause this many spiriomgomgomg ori-kiri-sama!

I sprinted out of the room to find a student. I need to see that ori-kiri-sama paper and learn the ruels that it comes with. That could help the investigation out a lot!
I saw a student, a boy. He was pointing at something through the window edging himself further out of it when this other guy came running down the hall and bumped into the guy causing him to go out the window.

I ran on over and caught him using my pk I hovered him back through the window into the hallway

"Holy shit" the boy exclaimed "how'd you do that?! Thats some whitch stuff!"

"Yea yea no need to thank me or anything. Look do you do ori-kiri-sama?"

"Oh yea I do! My names Justin what about you?" He extended his hand out for a handshake I obliged and shookth the guys hand

"Mochi. Do you have a paper for the ori-kiri-sama?" He nodded and reached into his pocket pulling one and passing it to me.

"Is that your real name?" He asked i shook my head no. "Then why do you go by it?"

"Cause im squishy" I sqished my cheek "like mochi"

I stood around and got the ruels for the game aswell before going back to base. That's a lie I walked around and visited the Shrine your suposed to put the ori-kiri-sama at when its all filled out. Then I went to base right after I'd checked it out. It was sun set by the time I came back.

In the base stood mai, yaso and lin was on his laptop like usual and of course munk and ayako were having another screaming match while jhon tried to calm em down.
Yaso and mai were going over information we already have.

I walked in and went straight to lin, I pulled out his chair and spun him around to face me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me towards him I was on his lap with my head in the crook of his neck he rubbed circles in my back with one hand while the other used the table to pull him back to the laptop where he then continued typing.

"Yknow the way they do ori-kiri-sama  with the chant and everything its so different from the times I've played with a ouiji board." Mai told everyone.
Jhon told us how there's many different ways of doing it.

"Yea but even the paper there using is weird." I began to squirm around to try and grab the paper out of my pocket. I heard lin grunt slightly and I thought I was hurting him so I said sorry and got off.

"The paper has the alphabet the numbers and the yes or no but its also got a squiggly pattern rather than a tori i. And then it has the character for demon circling it" I informed them further on mais point as I described the paper I was unfolding. Once I'd done this lin jumped up from his chair instantly. That could be the fastest ive seen him move.

"What kind of pattern is it?" He asked really seriously as he walked over to the table "you said it was called ori-kiri-sama? That comes from the incantation used right?" Yaso was thinking for a second but wasn't saying anything so lin began to say the incantation

"Thats it!" Yaso confessed.

"And after you use it you have to bury it somewhere"

"Yea you can only use it once and when your done with it you have to dispose of it at a perticular shrine" I told lin who was still looking at yaso and mai. Mais breath hitched and her face looked shocked.

"Hey is there a shrine nearby? A little one with a small tori i gate way and foxes?"

"Yea that exact shrine is just up the road!" Yaso and I told her in unison.

We all went back to the shrine i had just come back from.
"This is where you bury them right?" Lin asked. I nodded to him and passed him the ori-kiri-sama paper I forgot to give him in the base room.

Just then two girls came on up holding a paper munk scolded them and lin took the paper away. Comparing the both of them to make sure there all the same.

"I knew it"
