Emilia smiled as she talked about her day. Brian stood behind her as he helped put away her groceries. He didn't know how to tell her about the problem Stefan had pointed out. He nervously got the last bag and started to put the things away.

Emilia sighed when she turned to see that Brian held the last bag. She threw the brown paper bags into a cubby, which held many others.

"I think we might get coffee later on in the week. I'm excited to meet someone new, other than yourself, of course." Brian watched her smile grow as she talked about the new stranger she met. Her smile lit the kitchen with delight.

"That's great, Milly. Just don't forget that I exist!" He said jokingly, yet she felt hurt that he would think such a thing. "Brian, don't be silly!"

"I'm kidding, i'm kidding, Milly. You know you can't get rid of me." He said rolling his eyes. He made his way to her cozy living room, she followed.

"So, enough about me, what was so important that you had to come today?" She asked sitting next to him on her red couch. She watched him take a breath and look around the room. His hands played with the hem of his shirt while his right leg moved in a nervous manner.

"Here, take a piece. You look like a nervous wreck." Emilia said handing him gum that she had on her coffee table.

"Thanks, I guess that'll kind of help," he said throwing the piece into his mouth, "Umm, Milly, I need to tell you something. Something that I've kept a secret in fear of you treating me different. I want you to know in advance how horrible I feel for-"

"For God sakes!" Emilia said turning to face him completely, "Brian, you know that we trust each other enough to be comfortable. Spit it out already, i'm not getting any younger."

Brian gave a small laugh. "Calm down, Sweetness. I need time," he said, "I just... i'm scared this will change the way you see me."

"It won't. Not if it puts me in danger. If it does, then..."

"Milly, those girls who took the pictures at the train station.. they-" he licked his lips tasting the mint on them from the gum as she signaled him to pause.

"Girls?" She said quietly. She squinted her eyes as she thought back a few days ago, which was not hard. "the ones with the band shirts?"

"Yes, those," Brian said facing her, "Milly, when I met you on the plane, you were so different. I was a stranger to you. We talked like old friends, we exchanged numbers like teens, and here we are. I feel normal around you. I didn't have to fake a known smile, you made me feel new- refreshed even. I never felt like that with anyone before."

"If your proposing, its a no, Brian. I'm sorry, but-"

"No, it's nothing of that sort. Believe me, this is different." He said.

"Brian I-" she started to say only to get hushed by him.

"Look, i'm a famous singer from the band Placebo. On the plane, when we met, I had just finished a tour. We played with The Cure and Bowie. I know this sounds rubberish, but I swear on the Queen that what I say is true. I have never lied to you, Milly. Never. The girls on the train were fans of the band. Some other ones saw us at the concert and told the press about it.

I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want you to be in the public eye. You're so sweet, Emilia, and fame will rotten you. My band mate, Stefan, saw an article about us. No one knows who you are. They only have an idea based on the crappy picture.

I found out today about it. I don't want you to be in danger because of this. I want you to be safe. I don't want you to treat me any different for this. I'm scared that you'll use me as the rest did. If you don't want to be friends, then I underst-"

Brian was cut off by Emilia's arms wrapping around his neck. She held on to him tightly and giggled. Brain, phased by what happened, shook his head as he felt her start to laugh.

"Mill, wha- why are you-"

"God Brian, you can be so oblivious! Of course I wouldn't treat you any different! I knew who you were right from the start, well, scratch that. I had an idea on who you were. I'm a sound engineer, not a hermit crab. I'm surrounded by bands all the time. I actually set the lights up to go along with your performance. When I saw you on the plane you looked familiar, but I couldn't remember from where. It wasn't until later after the whole crazy ex drama happened, when I realised who you were. I saw pictures of the Festival and bam, there you were.

I would never use you for fame. I like my space and alone time. Yes, I love meeting new people, but I will always stay humble. Never will I ever turn my back on you. Not when you helped me out."

Pulling away from the hug, Emilia looked happily at Brian, who was shocked. Instead of saying another word, he quickly pulled her to his side again.

"How about we watch a movie? Lets calm your nerves down a bit." She said getting up. He nodded, sighing out his stress.

Emilia knew how to impress.
