Emilia hated the sun.

Well, in the morning and on hot summer days at least. Since the sun was out, she pulled the soft covers over her head and sighed.

She stretched and yawned, making her bones pop. She could hear Brian singing along to Iggy Pop as Lust For Life played.

She sang along, making the bed and changing into her clothes. Despite not having shoes, she searched for socks in the closet of the room and found some in a bag.

She walked out and followed the smell of food. Brian stood next to the stove, flipping eggs and dancing.

She watched as he moved his hips from side to side. He wore a tight black shirt along with black pants. She couldn't see his face, his pale soft face.

She cleared her throat, making him turn. He smiled at her and handed her a plate with food on it. She put it behind her and turned to see him facing her as he sang.

Well, I'm just a modern guy

Of course, I've had it in the ear before

'Cause of a lust for life

'Cause of a lust for life

He started to dance again grabbing her hands and making her move from side to side. She smiled wider and soon started to sing along with him and laugh.

Emilia had never done this with any of her ex-boyfriends. She had never had this much fun with a guy. Sure, sex was fun, but that was sexual pleasure. This.. this was different.

Hey man, where'd ya get that lotion?

Your skin starts itching once you buy the gimmick

About something called love

Oh Love, love, love

Well, that's like hypnotising chickens

He turned the stove off quickly and resumed dancing. She swung her hips and grabbed a spoon near her. Brian followed her actions with air guitar then followed by the backup singers.

The two were having fun. They didn't feel stressed out or worried. No pressure, nothing of that sort.

It was as if they hit their high.

"What is this?!"

The pair stopped in the end of the song. Temptation started to play by New Order as they turned to see a fuming blonde standing next to the entrance of the door way.

Brian quickly grabbed the remote next to Emilia and turned off the stereo. The apartment filled with silence and awkward tension.

"Uhh, hi. I'm Emilia. An acquaintance of Brian." she held her hand out for the angry blonde to shake. The blonde refused, making a face at her and her extended hand.

"Yeah? Well i'm Mandy, Brian's fiancé." she smugly said.

Emilia showed no emotion, but a smile. She didn't know Brian was engaged, they weren't a fling of any sort, so why would it matter to her? It wasn't worth the hurtful words or anger.

Brian, on the other hand, was angry. Angry that she would lie about something like that. He never proposed. He never was. He wanted out and her gone.

Before he could speak, the black haired girl spoke first. "Oh, well congratulations to you both. Brian made breakfast, want to join?"

The broken couple stood surprised. Mandy wanted to get under her skin. She wanted her to be jealous of what she had; a god rock star boyfriend.

Brian looked between them both. He could see Emilia's smile was forced while is so called 'fiancé' was in the verge to explode.
