Draco spent most of the day laying in bed. He was broken. His happiness was gone. This was obviously worse than when Hermione wasn't talking to him. "You missed breakfast, mate," Goyle said as he came into the dormitory.
"I know, Goyle. Can't you see I'm doing something?"
"No, not really. You've just been lying there all day."
"Exactly. I'm busy."
"Like...?"
"No, Goyle. I'm not." Goyle let out a snicker. "Shove off."
"What's the matter with you today?"
"Well, now I've got a giant head ache because of you."
"Bloody hell, Draco, I thought you'd be celebrating."
"Celebrating? Why would I be doing that?"
"Because that Mudblood, Granger, is petrified. Didn't you know?"
"Yeah, I know."
"Well, you called it, didn't ya?"
"Fair enough." Draco wanted to take a knife to his throat.
"Anyways-"
"Goyle, I said shove off!" Goyle looked at Draco and left the dorm silently. He resumed staring up at the ceiling and remained like that until he got some sense knocked into himself. He decided that he needed to do something about it instead of sitting there like a featherweight. He got himself out of bed and ventured to Hagrid's hut, which he thought was quite filthy. He banged on the door. No one answered. "Hagrid! Answer the door you foolish bloke!" Draco kicked the door open and found Hagrid's black boar hound, Fang. "Where is he, Fang?" Fang just sat there, useless. Draco groaned as he shut the door and ran up to the Hogwarts Greenhouse.
"My boy, you can't be in here!" Madame Sprout scolded as he entered. "I'm about to uproot the Mandrakes. They're fully grown with their cries set out to kill!"
"I want to help. More experience," Draco lied.
"I cannot risk the life of a student with these Mandrakes, but you may ask Professor Snape to observe him brewing the potion."
"Thank you Madame Sprout." Draco raced down to the dungeons into Professor Snape's classroom.
"Good heavens, Mr. Malfoy. You quite possibly almost gave me a heart attack," Snape snarled.
"Can I help you with the Mandrake potion? I really would like to learn this art of potion-making and I think it would be good experience," Draco lied again.
"Fine."
Soon, Madame Sprout came in carrying a large tray. "Severus," she nodded as she set the tray down on the large table. "Draco."
"Good afternoon, Madame Sprout," Snape said.
"Thank you for this, Severus," she said as she exited.
"Well then, let's get started, shall we?" Snape asked Draco. Draco nodded at the sight of the dead Mandrakes.
"Let's do it," he said. The smell from the Mandrakes was overwhelmingly repulsive. It made Draco want to hurl.
"It's quite pungent. Are you sure you want to be here?"
"Yes." Draco paused. "I can't just do nothing," he muttered to himself.

Suddenly, Harry was in the Chamber of Secrets. It was so grand and an astonishing architectural wonder, aside from the fact that Ron's sister was laying unconscious on the floor. "Ginny!" Harry called as he ran to her side. "Please don't be dead. Wake up!" Harry kneeled beside her and put a hand to her pale lifeless face. "Ginny, no!"
