Hermione ran all the way to the hospital wing and didn't stop until she got there. Looking dizzied, she stopped in front of Madame Pomfrey. "Dear Merlin, girl. Whatever is it?" Madame Pomfrey asked. Without saying anything, Hermione removed her hands that were covering her teeth. Madame Pomfrey gasped as she saw Hermione's new buck teeth that reached to her chin. "The teeth growing charm?" Hermione nodded. "Not to worry. I can fix these simply." Madame Pomfrey handed Hermione a mirror. "I'm going to cast the shrinking spell on your teeth. Tell me when they're back to normal and I'll stop." Hermione nodded. "Reducio." Slowly, the size of Hermione's teeth began to decrease in size. In twenty seconds, Hermione's teeth decreased to their normal size, which was still fairly large. Hermione didn't tell Madame Pomfrey to stop. She then let them decrease to a normal size, a size that someone normal would have.
"Now," Hermione said. Madame Pomfrey lowered her hands and smiled.
"There you go, my dear."
"Thank you," Hermione smiled with her new teeth.
"My pleasure."
Hermione bounced out of the hospital wing and went back to the common room. It was the afternoon now and all classes were over for the day. Inside, people were partying around Harry with his golden egg.
"We knew you wouldn't die, Harry," George said.
"Lose a leg?" Fred added.
"Or an arm."
"Pack it in altogether."
"Never!" the twins cheered.
"Go on, Harry. What's the clue?" Seamus asked.
"Who wants me to open it?" Harry asked. The Gryffindors cheered. "You want me to open it?" Harry held up the egg and twisted it open. Absolute horror flooded out of it. A noise so terrible filled the entire room, causing everyone to cover their ears. Harry quickly shut it. "What the bloody hell was that?"
Hermione saw Ron watching from the doorway. The room quieted. "Alright, everyone," Fred said. "Go back to your knitting. This is gonna be uncomfortable enough without all you nosey sods listening in."
"I reckon you'd have to be barking mad to put your own name in the Goblet of Fire," Ron said to Harry.
"Caught on, have you? Took you long enough," Harry said.
"Wasn't just me who thought you'd done it. Everyone was saying it behind your back."
"Brilliant. That makes me feel loads better."
"At least I warned you about the dragons."
"Hagrid warned me about the dragons."
"Oh no, no, I did. Don't you remember? I told Hermione to tell you that Seamus told me that Pavarti told Dean that Hagrid was looking for you. Seamus never actually told me anything, so it was really me all along. I thought you'd be alright, you know, after you figured that out."
"Who could possibly figure that out? That's completely mental."
"Yeah, it is, isn't it? Suppose I was a bit distraught."
"Boys," Hermione said. They hadn't even noticed she was here.
"Hermione," they both said.
"Does this mean you're made up now?"
"Guess so," Ron says. "Did you get those teeth fixed?"
"Yeah," Hermione smiled, showing her now normal teeth.
"They seem smaller than before. Guess that's just because they were so big."
"I guess so."
"What happened to Hermione's teeth?" Harry asked.
