"who is it?" Granny said as she came to the door she seen through her peephole it was only Ayanna

"well i see my granddaughter finally came to see me." she said as she open the door for Yanna

"i'm sorry granny things have been busy for me but i got everything you said you needed from the store." Ayanna said as she put her grocery up for her granny.

It had been over two months since what happen to Ayanna she wasn't doing okay, she was having nightmares about the killing of Ja'Von and it was eating her up. Toosii tried to be there for her since it was her very first body, but she didn't want to talk about it she decided it was best to leave it alone for now. Once Ayanna was done with putting everything up she went to sit next to her granny who was watching the news

"New York has change for the worse Yanna it wasn't like how i use to grew up."

"i know but that's the world for you, how you been?" Yanna asked it had been a while since she even heard from her granny, with the kidnapping happen she wanted to lock herself out.

"everything is fine they want to go up on the rent since some white folks bought the apartment building." Granny said

"how much is it? i could help." Ayanna said

Granny waved her off "nonsense, it's nothing for you to worry about, you just keep stacking your money up and get up out of New York for good."

Yanna knew her granny was right New York wasn't the place she wanted to stay and live her life at, she was leaning towards moving to Texas or somewhere where the sun was out she was done with the coldness.

"i seen my momma granny." Yanna said

"where about? i been trying to get in touch with her she stole two hundred dollars from me."

"she was at the crack spot, you won't be getting your money back anytime soon." Yanna said as she shook her head her mother wasn't the same anymore

"i raised her to be the best she could be, i can't waste my time on her anymore." Granny said

"i'm sorry granny but blame it on the men she been with they got her on that stuff, every since my dad left it's like she haven't been the same anymore." Ayanna said her and her mother relationship was sour

"can you blame her though? your father was everything to her for him to up and leave his family of course she wasn't going to agree with it. I'm not saying her being on drugs is right but love will make you do some crazy things you thought you would never do." Granny said

Ayanna sat there for another hour listening to her granny go on and on about what's been going down in Queens, she took home a plate of food since she didn't feel like cooking tonight. Once she got home her phone started ringing.

"hello." Yanna said into the phone

"unlock yo door." Toosii said with a smirk

Ayanna playfully rolled her eyes before unlocking her door seeing Toosii at the door with a spend a night bag on his shoulder.

"what you think you doing?" Yanna asked as she moved out the way for him to come in

"what you think i'm doing, i'm spending the night." Toosii said as she dropped his bag on the couch

Ayanna shook her head every since she got kidnapped Toosii had been on her every since he even made her get this app that tracks her every movement, he wasn't going to let anyone take her away from him again not if he could stop it.
